Bucket list item: finishing the 70.3 World Championship in Nice with my dad 🫶🏼

But actually, how many people get to say that?! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words how grateful I am to share something like this with my biggest role model, the person who has always supported me, challenged me, and pushed me to become the strongest and best version of myself.

This race was far from perfect. Getting there was an adventure in itself, the course was rough, and my execution definitely wasn’t what I had hoped for. More than anything, this was probably the first race I’ve ever started knowing I just wasn’t in the best place mentally or emotionally to race.

But somewhere along the way, that almost made me appreciate it even more.

I kept looking around at where I was, racing alongside some of the strongest women in the world, in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, with my dad out there doing the same thing and so many of my favorite people there cheering us on, and thinking, how the heck is this my life?

So even when the race wasn’t going the way I wanted, there was still so much to smile about. So much to be grateful for. So many people to hug at the finish line.

I may not be proud of the result, but I’m proud that I finished. And even more than that, I’m grateful for a body that lets me do crazy things like this, a supportive family & boyfriend that makes these dreams even more special, and a life that I genuinely have to pinch myself over sometimes.

And somehow, this was only the beginning of the best two weeks. More to come :)

Words can’t describe how proud I am of my friends and my dad 🤍 This race was tough, but every single person crossed that finish line smiling.

Seeing 30+ friends out there, the volunteers, the happy tears, it all meant everything.

Watching you show up, push through, and believe in yourselves… that’s what this is all about.

2nd AG, 8th overall out of 513, but the real win will always be this community.
