These cooler temps and changing leaves have me getting extremely stoked for winter ❄️

Here are a few highlights from last season. Looking forward to lots of long walks in the alpine, skiing new lines, climbing some ice, and of course tons of learning 🤘

Fun times in an awesome zone w/ @icecoastbrad and @nate.escapes
.
.
4/18/26 @icecoastbrad and I skied double barrel untracked but had to bail when winds picked up and visibility dropped.
.
4/25/26 We ventured back to Oaks with @nate.escapes
I skied: Robinson’s Neighborhood x 2, Double Barrel x2, and Main Gully x2. 6 awesome runs in a day, can’t complain.

“The Pilgrimage” climbing route ✅

Definitely a funky one…

This was my second attempt at this line and @icecoastbrad’s third attempt.
After we bailed my first time, Brad and I knew we had to come back and get it done. There was hardly any beta, so we had no idea what we’d encounter after the cliff at the bottom, but we both had a feeling we could ski it from the top.

This line gave us a little bit of everything, including a nice bushwhack on the approach, a short pitch of ice at the bottom, and a tight and steep descent with a rappel back out of the line. Can’t say I made any beautiful turns on the way down, but I guess you can’t expect great turns when skiing a climbing route… I think technical lines like this really show you your strengths and weaknesses, and this one definitely did just that. One of my favorite elements of adventuring in the mountains is that no matter who you are, you can always learn and improve.

We’re still coming down from an incredible weekend working with so many amazing students.

Between Level Ones, Avalanche Rescue & Intro to Backcountry days it’s sometimes a bit of a bummer when the class is over but we know it’s often times just the beginning of new partnerships that form over these experiences.

Who have you met recently in an Avalanche Course that might be a future partner?

Skiing vs snowboarding in the BC, what's your take?
Poll below

@icecoastbrad

Hardboot setups and splitboard tech seem to have really leveled the playing field in my opinion. I personally love riding with snowboarders as their line selection and vision sometimes allows you to see and even manage the terrain in a different way. Different perspectives can make a huge difference in both fun and safety.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Let’s enjoy some family time and remind everyone at the table that our favorite months of the year have arrived. Don’t be annoying sharing how much more fun your life is about to get, but let them know that age is just a number, and that you are still planning to hit 100 days on the hill this winter🤟

If they want to know one of your secrets on how you do it… Let them know it’s time to try CBDayz also cause there are only a few more days to score it at 50% discount!🚨😎
