Link👉 https://leahdo.com/misc 👈 Dear art ones 🎨 👩‍🎓 I graduated from CSUS Art last May, and while I wasn’t particularly alone in doing so, a majority of my art people had to wait to wrap it up in the Fall or beyond. Although it did feel like I was missing out on all the friend fun and art making, hanging out on the observing end of all the gossip and the drama, I’m thankful that things have played out in the order that they did, and the timing turned out to be just perfect. 🥂 Here’s to all of the fateful encounters, the groundbreaking inspirations, the art community having each other’s back, as well as the forgiveness to each other that was long overdue (yes, I’m talking to you, [insert your names]). 💟 This past year has been a series of positive changes for me in terms of career path and future aspirations, and I am thankful to you all for being part of this exhilarating journey. Thank you for reminding me to give it my all and that I can always do or be more [insert your name], for allowing me to be true to myself [insert your name], for reminding me what I came here to do in the first place [insert your name], and for letting me showcase all of my fierceness without judgment or shaming [insert your name]. ✈️ I should take advantage of this post to announce that once my contract with Nolan’s company either ends or renews in late May, I’ll take about a year or so to travel the world, get inspired, create artworks and grow as an artist, starting with Europe (hopefully Paris in June, July, August; London in September, October, and November), then back to the States for the holidays and consider what’s next — think an art residency that is self-funded. This is where my old European ties come in handy… I am fortunate enough to be pursuing a Master’s program entirely online (so it can be done from anywhere in the world) for the next 2 years, and have enough funding to make this adventure worthwhile. From 2013, to 10 years later, I’m coming back to this tiny, dramatic patch of land.
