I get a little emotional looking at this picture…

Most people don’t know that Court ‘N Jo started off as a joke in the car and in passive conversation. As a name we came up with when we decided to be a unit, and were joking around about what our couple name should be. This was before we ever thought of pursuing music together — or doing anything together in general.

It’s crazy to think back to that moment 3 years ago in the car and to see how far we’ve come, what we’ve built + what we’re building, and how the things we once joked about have become our reality…. and we did it TOGETHER 🌀

We talk about this a lot; how it feels as if people in today’s society don’t want to build together anymore. They want to be a part of something already built. They don’t want the ups and downs, the challenges, the hardships or stress…they want to tap in after the success and share the reward 🏆 I guess people don’t realize that’s the fun part —- going through life’s journeys with a partner and having someone to share that experience with.

As I sit here writing this, I feel so much gratitude and so lucky to have someone to build with. It’s OUR journey, OUR ups and downs, OUR challenges that make up OUR success, and the reward is so much sweeter knowing we did it together.

Thanks for giving me the feels with this shot @benkhoinguyen 📸 🤌🏾 it really brought me down memory lane ✨
