If I was an American girl doll my name would be “Hester”, I’d live in Salem, MA, and my accessory would be a cat who hates to be held.

Ps: Autumn in Scotland is next level.

In other outrageous news, we were able to move from our beloved flat to the flat directly next door to us just about three weeks ago! The owners had lived here for 35 years (!) prior, bought a house elsewhere this summer, and decided they wanted *only us* to rent from them. Life has been bananas lately, but it’s truly my favorite thing ever when things work out anyway. Swipe to see evidence of our original tenants kicking the hideous red couch aka bane of my existence to the curb the very night they moved back in. #leithforever #persevere

(Half of) Cape Wrath at Cape Wrath. July 2024, a decade after my trip there alone. This time was better.
