"𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓱𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷'𝓽 𝓯𝓪𝓲𝓵𝓮𝓭 𝓾𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓵 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓺𝓾𝓲𝓽 𝓽𝓻𝔂𝓲𝓷𝓰" - Børge Ousland.⁣ ⁣ This picture is from the last trip Mike Horn and Børge Ousland did to the North Pole during winter. At that time, and still, an incredible accomplishment. Skiing into the North Pole in fall and during winter is extremely harsh, and the temperatures can easily get to -35°C. Right now, Børge Ousland and Mike Horn is currently sailing as far up north through the Arctic Ocean as they can. They aim to get to 85 or 86°North before skiing 500km to the North Pole and cross to the coast of Svalbard, as part of Mike Horn's #Pole2Pole expedition. ⁣ ⁣ They are using Mike Horn's Mercedes Benz ice-class-sailboat called #Pangaea to get in. After reaching the North Pole, about 700-800km in biting cold weather, water, darkness, and ice awaits them before they get to the shore of the ice and towards Svalbard.⁣ A total of about 1300km in the harhest conditions.⁣ ⁣ Nobody's ever done a trip like this, on this time of the year, because it has been considered too hard!⁣ ⁣ We're really proud to say that Børge is now part of our family, and we wish him the best of luck with this journey. While he's working his way to cross the North Pole, we will share his updates, introduce you to Børges guiding company Ousland Explorers, and give you guys some more info about or brand new Åsnes Børge Ousland BC ski. ⁣ ⁣ Isn't it cool that we're launching his signature ski just as he yet again breaks barriers?⁣ @borgeousland⁣ @mikehornexplorer⁣ ¤⁣ ¤⁣ ¤⁣ ¤⁣ #Pole2Pole#MikeHorn#mikehornexplorer#borgeousland#ouslandexplorers#thenorthpolecrossing#NorthPole
