We visited a school in Kafr Nabl with our charity partners @molhamteam who are doing amazing work helping to rebuild Syria, from restoring schools to supporting students and education initiatives.
The school we saw had been completely destroyed during the siege (you can see it in the before photos), but thanks to your support and donations, it’s now coming back to life and is already about 60% rebuilt. When it’s finished, it’ll be a safe, welcoming space for around 1,500 students, somewhere they can learn, grow, and just be kids again.

We met the headmistress and several mothers whose children will attend the school. They were so happy to see the progress being made and excited about what it will mean for their children. And, like mums everywhere, they were also looking forward to a few quiet hours while the kids are at school!

We finished the visit by handing out gifts to more than 100 children full of smiles, and hopes and dreams for the future.

Next, we were welcomed into the home of a beautiful family whose house had been severely damaged during the conflict. Despite the challenges they have faced, their resilience, dignity, and determination shone through as they rebuilt what they could with the resources available to them.
Their warmth hospitality was truly unforgettable. We were treated to a traditional Syrian breakfast of freshly baked flatbread, muhammara, and locally produced olive oil, and spring water.
Before we left, we gave out goody bags to the children in the family and it was heartwarming to see how such a simple gesture gave them so much happiness.

A really wholesome day full of hope, resilience, and the kind of kindness you don’t forget. ❤️🇸🇾

Alhamdulillah. If you told me a few years ago that this would be my life, I wouldn’t have believed you. There is nothing that fulfils my heart more than this work and the people it has brought into my life. 🤍

Day 1
Our first day took us to Harasta in Eastern Ghouta, where we visited two newly installed water systems. For families returning home after years of hardship, access to clean water is one of the most basic and urgent needs. Thanks to your generous support, these water systems are now providing a reliable source of clean water to approximately 33,500 people, helping families take their first steps towards rebuilding their lives with dignity.
We also visited Al Ghouta Camp. The journey there was lined with scenes of devastation, a stark reminder of the years of siege and conflict these communities have endured. What was most striking was seeing families living among the ruins of their homes, surrounded by rubble yet determined to rebuild and move forward.
Because of your donations, we were able to distribute food parcels filled with essential supplies, giving families enough food to sustain them for an entire month. For many, this support brought immediate relief during an incredibly difficult time.

Day 5

…was the perfect way to end our trip 🤍

We took a group of orphans shopping and let them choose their own clothes and shoes … watching them carefully pick what they loved, with such pride and excitement, was truly heart-warming. It wasn’t just about the items, it was about giving them choice, dignity, and joy.

We then headed to a play centre where laughter filled the room, and ended the day sharing a meal together …tired, happy, and surrounded by the most beautiful smiles.

If you feel moved to sponsor an orphan and be part of changing a child’s story, please get in touch.

Lebanon Day 1 - Our first stop was a refugee camp in Akkar, where we carried out three family visits. Conditions were harsh. Tents were cold and soaked, and the severe weather was worsening already desperate circumstances.
One family of seven shared how illness had spread through the household. The mother broke down as she explained how she struggles to afford medication, often buying only a few tablets at a time. Another family urgently needed support for their four year old, Hijran, who requires life saving heart surgery. The final family was also in a critical situation. The father is blind, and their two very young children Hala and Amina are suspected to have heart defects.
Thanks to your response to our urgent appeal we have been able to ensure these families receive the medical care they desperately need.
We distributed food packs across the camp, each providing enough to sustain a family of five for up to a month. In addition, families received 40 litres of fuel and two frozen chickens. Many had not been able to afford meat for a long time.
At the next camp, conditions were even more challenging. The ground was waterlogged and temperatures bitterly cold. Children without coats and only basic sandals, their little feet covered in mud and sludge, noses red and runny from the cold. Yet despite this, their smiles were big and their hearts even bigger.
Gravel capping was laid over the sodden ground to improve access and reduce flooding. This was an immediate but temporary solution, highlighting the need for more permanent fix. We also installed solar powered lighting throughout the camp, significantly improving visibility and reducing safety risks in areas that were previously pitch dark. This has only been made possible because of your generous donations ❤️

Winter has left refugee camps unsafe and struggling.

Families need food, warmth, healthcare, and safe ground to live on. Children shouldn’t have to walk through mud and darkness just to feel secure.

Your support provides:
• Emergency food & clean water
• Baby milk & nappies
• Medical care
• Safer camps with improved ground and lighting
• Sustainability

£15 can help a baby
