Page 415. Things were getting good. Then I looked down and saw a chipped nail. Unacceptable for a rider.
One text and a Battle Brief later, I left with dragon scales, a dragon eye, lightning (IYKYK) and nails ready for the war college.

Lazy girls, this one’s for you 😴

I am ridiculously lazy when it comes to getting ready, so a lash lift with @icnailsandlashes is my idea of a perfect beauty routine.

Got hooded eyes? Yep, me too, and I didn’t think a lash lift would do much for me. But Irene tailors every lift to your eye shape and the natural direction of your lashes. For me, she used a larger shield so the lashes could lift and follow the curve around the hood.
The result is properly open eyes and lifted lashes, customised to me 👀

They’re curled and tinted for up to 8 weeks. No curler, no falsies, and no mascara unless you can be bothered (not sure I can).

Something a lot of people don’t know about me is that I’ve spent a huge part of my career in People Operations and Recruitment.

I’ve seen the same story play out over and over again.

Women returning to jobs that no longer fit the life they’ve built. Staying quiet because the financial pressure is real. Battling imposter syndrome. Running on broken sleep. Dropping their baby at childcare and rushing into meetings feeling like they have to prove themselves all over again.

I’ve been that woman.

And I’ve watched far too many women become that woman.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping women realise they can be in the driver’s seat of their own lives. The situation might not look perfect from the outside, but there is always a way to make it work for YOU!

I still get nervous speaking at events like this, so I decided to make getting ready part of the experience. I wanted my outfit to give me the confidence to say what I needed to say.

Because when you lead from your own compass, what good looks like for YOU, your values, your purpose, your style, you stop trying to fit into someone else’s version of success.

You start creating your own.

Change is inevitable. Motherhood changes us. Life changes us.

But when a woman is fully herself, she becomes unstoppable.

And I truly believe every woman has the power to build a life she wants, deserves, and feels proud of.

If you’re new here I am anti “bounce back” culture. HAAAAATE IT WITH A PASSION. Unrealistic expectations being put on us by society & each other.

The goal isn’t to fit back into your old life. It’s to build a new one that fits this beautiful evolution of YOU.
