Our Summer 2026 program was a huge success and we’re excited for Summer 2027!☀️🇬🇧✈️

In summer 2026, we had Brass in London & Exploring Osteopathy & Manual Medicine, and in summer 2027 were offering the following courses:

• Victorian London & the Birth of the Modern Mind by Craic Duncan 🧠

• The Science & Culture of Play in London By Dr Riley 🛝

• Exploring Osteopathy & Manual Medicine in London by John Winslow 🦴

The summer program is an excellent opportunity for students who can’t commit to a Spring or Fall semester abroad for any reason. It’s short & sweet, much more affordable than a regular semester, and takes place during the summer period when students tend to have much less academic commitments!

For more info on the Summer 2027 program and the 3 courses being offered, see the link in our bio!

🏥 From ACL tears to shoulder injuries, the future of sports medicine was on full display at the New Visions Exercise & Health Sciences Symposium!

As the first year of our New Visions Exercise & Health Sciences program at @ithacacollege comes to a close, students showcased the knowledge and skills they’ve developed through this unique partnership. They researched common athletic injuries and presented on everything from rotator cuff tears and UCL injuries to sprained ankles and patellar tendon tears, educating attendees on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation strategies.

Congratulations to our students on their outstanding research and presentations, and thank you to the Ithaca College faculty and staff whose support and expertise made this inaugural year such a success. We also appreciate everyone who attended and helped celebrate our students’ achievements! 💪

Meet our HSHP Student Spotlight, Ashna Kalvani! 👋
Ashna is a Class of 2027. She is a physical therapy major with a nutrition promotion minor from Closter, NJ.

From Ashna, “I am currently a fifth-year student in the DPT program at Ithaca College, with a minor in Nutrition Promotion. Outside of the classroom, I volunteer at Longview Senior Living Community through the Parkinson’s Wellness Collaborative, where I work alongside an interprofessional team to lead engaging activities and classes for individuals at various stages of Parkinson’s disease. Being part of this DPT program has been an incredibly rewarding experience—it has challenged me to grow, strengthened my passion for helping others, and prepared me to make a meaningful impact through movement and rehabilitation. I am also very excited to begin my first clinical experience this summer and continue developing my skills as a future physical therapist.”

It was Biomechanics Day earlier this week and the New Vision Exercise & Health Science students took learning to the next level by visiting the Movement Analysis Lab at Ithaca College to explore biomechanics in action! 🏃‍♂️📊

From testing landing forces on a force plate to balancing on one foot while solving brain challenges, students explored how the body moves and responds in real time. They also used EMG to measure triceps activation during push-ups, pushed through muscle fatigue on an isokinetic dynamometer, and wrapped up with a 3D anatomy challenge!

By the end of the day, scores were combined and our top 3 students were awarded medals for their performance across all stations! 🏅

🎉 Congratulations to the winners and a huge thank you to everyone who made such an informative and fun Biomechanics Day possible for our students!
