POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m working on a little essay on how those in leadership positions for theatre involving young people that I’m going to post tomorrow but for now I wanted to share a list of plays that I think would start conversations around r*pe culture and inspire change at the community level.

All plays except the last one are available to read on @newplayexchange

Drop the plays on this issue that inspire you in the comments.

Also, talking about this with our art is great but not enough. Show up and vote for the politicians that take r*pe culture seriously during next month’s mid-terms, call your elected officials to keep them accountable, if you identify as male educate yourself and don’t ignore the jokes and sexist comments and if you are able please donate and/or volunteer with @rainn or your local resources for survivors of s*xual violence.

I had THE BEST TIME closing out the Double Standard tour at Reformation Chicago last night 💖

Shout out to @thelastchapterbookshop for being our on-site bookseller, @__all_together_now__ for the sips and bites, and @idesofmarge for hosting the perfect conversation! Such thoughtful questions and encouragement from the audience too. I went to bed floating.

It has been such a privilege to talk about this book with family, friends, and fans across states. Thank you to those who came out, showed up, and sent love. I’ll never get over it!

We celebrated DOUBLE STANDARD in a big way last week and I had the time of my life! Major thanks to @slowburntn and @storylinebookshop for hosting, and @sirroberttakespics and @itshaleypepper for yapping with me. And thank YOU, readers and friends and family members, for showing up for this book and this author 💖

And there’s more!! Join @idesofmarge and me in Chicago in two weeks to keep the fun going. Link in my bio to register!

DOUBLE STANDARD is a read-in-one-sitting romcom novella with an actress x stunt double, fake dating, forced proximity (they’re filming on location in Nashville) that’s equal parts swoon and spice 🤭 Out now wherever books are sold!
