I started recording because I have all these ideas that go through my head and I wanted to get raw real content of what I think when I’m by myself creating my spaces. It’s always a really fun project in the beginning because the adrenaline is kicking in. It’s something new but when the adrenaline is over, the self-doubt starts. Why do I do this to myself? Why do I do this to my family? I don’t even have loans. I don’t make that much money to even be able to afford to take on these buildings. I don’t come from a rich family. I just get so excited about these ideas that I have and I just roll with it cause I trust myself not to fail, but it’s really hard to always stay motivated not to fail when technically you have all the odds against you.

Anyways, I’m sitting here listening to my favorite podcast ever @humanhoodseries & get this raw moment. I never know what they’re gonna talk about. I don’t listen while they record. I’m either working on my clients hair or next-door at studio 82 working on opening up this new space and while all these doubts are going through my mind as I plaster, I get this sweet message from two of my best friends that I love so dearly and also look up to because they also inspire me. I had to stop recording cause it got really ugly for a little bit lol but it just reminded me of my why.

For anybody out there self doubting. It’s so normal but you have to get out of your head and just do you because you don’t realize who you’re inspiring around you. To know that @healthfulcasey thinks of me instead of Ivanka Trump. Lol I’m jk

anyways, this wasn’t supposed to be a rant. If you have a gift and an urge to do something, just do it don’t think about it. Everything will work out in the end. You just have to trust and believe in yourself. ✨🫶🏽
