EMBRACING THE GIRL CHILD INITIATIVE’S IDP CAMP OUTREACH TO MARK WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY
In commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Embracing the Girl Child Initiative carried out an outreach at the IDP Camp to promote menstrual hygiene awareness and support vulnerable women and girls.

During the outreach, menstrual hygiene education was provided, free sanitary pads were distributed to combat period poverty, and post-natal medical supplies were shared with pregnant women and nursing mothers. Feeding was also provided to members of the camp.

Speaking at the event, the Founder and Executive Director of the organisation, Barr. Nneamaka Onyema, stated that the outreach was organised to educate women and young girls on proper menstrual hygiene while also providing sanitary materials and postnatal supplies.

She explained that the IDP camp was intentionally chosen because displaced women and girls are among the most vulnerable and often lack access to menstrual health education and basic hygiene products.
“Women and girls in displaced communities are often overlooked, and it is important that they are equipped with the right knowledge and support regarding menstrual hygiene,” she said.

We sincerely appreciate the support and donations of our partners and supporters, especially:

• LinkedLegal Attorneys
• Zeal + Passion Home Kitchen
• The Trip Fixers International
• I Dey Com Tours and Travels Limited
• Abuja ESUT Law Class of 2005

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this outreach. Together, we continue to restore dignity and impact lives in vulnerable communities.

Creating a supportive and empowering work environment isn’t just a perk — it’s a business strategy.
When employees feel valued, heard, and safe in their workspace, creativity flows, productivity soars, and loyalty deepens.

Whether you own a barbing or hair salon, a genral goods sales store in the market, a restaurant, a corporate firm, etc.
Here’s how to nurture talent in a workspace:
✅ Encourage open communication
✅ Respect work-life boundaries
✅ Offer mentorship & growth opportunities
✅ Recognize effort and celebrate wins
✅ Design spaces that inspire focus and comfort

Remember: A nurtured team is a high-performing team.
Let’s build cultures where people thrive — not just survive.
