Bir hikâye nasıl doğar, zamanla neye dönüşür?

Maskara’nın senarist ve yönetmeni Ahmed Said Ağaoğlu, filmin çıkış noktasını ve bugüne uzanan yaratıcı sürecini anlatıyor.

ArtEA Prodüksiyon olarak genç sinemacıları desteklemeye büyük önem veriyoruz. Özgün hikâyelerini geliştirmelerine ve hayata geçirmelerine katkı sunuyoruz. Maskara’nın yolculuğuna ilk adımlarından itibaren eşlik etmekten mutluyuz.

How does a story begin, and what does it become over time?

Ahmed Said Ağaoğlu, the writer and director of Mascara, shares how the film began and the creative journey that has brought it to where it is today.

At ArtEA Productions, supporting emerging filmmakers is one of our core priorities. We help them develop their original stories and bring them to life. We are delighted to have been part of Mascara’s journey from its earliest stages.

A.I.R. Meserret Misafir Sanatçı Programı 2025–2026 Dönem Sonu Sergisi

7–31 Ağustos 2026 tarihleri arasında İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi Bıçakçı Han 2 No’lu Antrepo, A.I.R. Meserret Misafir Sanatçı Programı’nın dönem sonu sergisi Meserret | İhtimal’e ev sahipliği yapıyor.
2024 yılında Meserret Oteli’nde başlatılan A.I.R. Meserret Misafir Sanatçı Programı, İzmir’de yaşayan genç sanatçılara üretim alanı sunarken, onları Kemeraltı’nın tarihî ve sosyal dokusuyla ilişki kurmaya davet ediyor. Program kapsamında iki aylık dönemler boyunca üretimlerini sürdüren sanatçılar, süreç sonunda ortaya çıkan çalışmalarını bu sergide izleyiciyle buluşturuyor.

Meserret | İhtimal, adını Meserret Oteli’nin isminden gelen “meserret” (saadet) ile henüz gerçekleşmemiş olasılıklara işaret eden “ihtimal” kavramlarının birlikteliğinden alıyor. Sergi, tarihî bir yapının hafızasında gelişen üretim süreçlerini görünür kılarken, Kemeraltı’nın çok katmanlı yapısıyla güncel sanat arasında yeni ilişkiler kuruyor.

Sergide Güneş Arık, Eylül Erol, Arya Biçer, Gülen Eren, İdil Alakuş, Öykü Işıl Kışla, Talha Demiral, Cemil Özbek, Sümeyye Bıyıklı, Ahsen Yağmur Kara, Ece Yücel ve Derya Bulut Uhri’nin farklı disiplinlerde ürettikleri eserler yer alıyor.

Meserret Birlikte Sergisi, bir arada olmanın ve birlikte üretmenin önemini merkeze alan bir buluşmadır. Bu sergi, yalnızca eserlerin yan yana gelmesi değil; sanatçıların birbirine temas etmesi, destek olması ve aynı zeminde buluşmasıdır.

Birlik bizim için bir tema değil, bir ihtiyaçtır. Farklı üretimlerimizi ortak bir alanda bir araya getirerek hem birbirimizi görünür kılıyor hem de dayanışmayı güçlendiriyoruz. Çünkü inanıyoruz ki sanat, paylaşıldıkça çoğalır ve yan yana geldikçe güçlenir.

Üretim koşullarının zorlaştığı, sanatçının zaman zaman yalnız kaldığı bir dönemde birlikte hareket etmeyi seçiyoruz. Bu bir karşı çıkıştan çok, bir sahiplenme ve dayanışma biçimidir.

Meserret Birlikte, yalnız olmadığımızı hatırlatan bir buluşmadır. Sanatla ilgilenen, üreten ve paylaşmak isteyen herkesle bir araya gelmek; yeni bağlar kurmak ve birlikte çoğalmak istiyoruz.

At @1001belgeselfilmfestivali | جشنواره مستند استانبول
Since the summer of 2025, I have been trying to build stronger connections in Turkey with filmmakers and artists working in documentary cinema. My dear friend @soydam_ece kindly introduced me to her friends. Ms. @EsinOzalpozturk , who helped me very generously, made the arrangements for me to attend the 1001 International Documentary Film Festival in Istanbul.

I was truly amazed by the effort and care behind this festival. The high quality of the film selection in the international section, as well as the guests invited to the event, felt far beyond what you would normally expect from a privately organized film festival.

During the festival, I met new friends. I can mention Fabian @voltifabian_filmmaker and Stefania from Sardinia, Zlatko from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and my dear Laurence @les.vesques from Canada. They are highly creative and successful filmmakers. I fell in love with their films, and I learned so much from spending time with them.

On the last day of the festival, I had a surprising moment when I met one of the filmmakers of "Divorce Iranian Style". I had watched that film as a teenager, and I never imagined that one day I would meet one of its directors, Ms. Kim Longinotto, in person. Her experiences and the things she shared were inspiring, and they even made me feel tempted to make films myself.

Alongside all this, I also met wonderful people from Turkish cinema. Your kindness and hospitality made me feel no sense of loneliness at all. It showed me once again that the bond between the people of Turkey and Iran is deep and meaningful.
