Life throws you curve balls sometimes but by working together as a team, those obstacles can be overcome. This past Saturday and Sunday was pretty muddy for us. We had one the the skid steers get suck in the mud while trying improve the drainage at Malibu Nature Preserve. Through a collective team effort, we were able to pull out the skid steer and finish our task. Thank you to our crew bosses @kylehowrad, @herewegobueno, @seanprickett, @idlescreams for leading our crews and thank you to all the volunteers that came out this weekend. Your help is appreciated more then you think! 📷: @kylehowrad

The #Woolseyfire has taught me some unreal lessons: Value yourself, love yourself & be kind to yourself. Slow down & embrace the natural progression for it's all going by so fast // Heading up Encinal the other day to work with @helpcalifornia and I just had to stop and say my thanks to #motherearth - devastating & magnificent at the same time // VOLUNTEER WITH US follow @helpcalifornia for more info and DM me for questions, there's lots of work to be done 🖤 #malibustrong

Bouts of sun, rain AND hail while hustling to finish the roofing on this horse shelter before more wet weather moves in next week. Couple solid days of solid teamwork w @helpcalifornia 💪🏽❤️🐎🏠💦

The recent rains have been moving a lot of earth around in Malibu. And with more storms on the way we have been hard at work doing both preventative work to redirect debris flow safely as well as recovery work at affected properties. Especially after this next storm there will be no shortage of work to be done. Come on down and volunteer, let’s get to work and help our Malibu neighbors! Photos by @kylehowrad

More good times w the @helpcalifornia crew this week. Still so much to be done and the rain is not making things any easier. With major mud and debris flows at places like #malibunaturepreserve we are in serious need of some heavy machinery and more hands on deck. A Facebook friend who works for @grainger messaged me today graciously asking if the company could be of any help. It’s offers like these that are going to keep this mission on track and help people who desperately need this assistance to get back on their feet. If anyone reading this has relationships w companies like @homedepot or @loweshomeimprovement or the like, please encourage them to consider giving tools/equipment/etc to the cause. @helpcalifornia is a registered 501(c)(3) organization so any contributions made are tax deductible. We are in need of building supplies, power tools and heavy machinery (like bobcats and small dozers) to combat the mudflows. Tax deductible donations can also be made on the help-california.org website, and more volunteers are always welcome. If your New Years resolution was to build more fences and fill more sandbags, this is definitely the place for you!! ❤️ #woolseyfire #neighborshelpingneighbors
