Happy Earth Day! 🌎 Wishing you all a special day of connection with Mother Earth 🌎 I’m sharing my favorite tree meditation today, I hope all who are called to take a moment to slow down and feel one with the universe ✨

Sit with your back to the trunk and let yourself be supported by the tree. Identify with the tree, imagine roots coming from your legs and the bottom of your spine to descend deep into Mother Earth. These roots are your connection to Gaia, they will help ground you and bring nourishment to you. Imagine now, branches reaching up into the sky from your shoulders, and from the top of your head, reaching up and becoming one with time and space, to the Cosmic Father Sky.

Draw from the air, energy, purity and light down into your body to connect you with Source. Breathe deeply, in and out, deep, slow breaths. In and out. Breathe in what it is you need right now; love, affection, acceptance, understanding, compassion or anything else that you need. Allow all negativity to leave your body. Breathe out any anger, resentment, upset, disappointment or anything else which is lodged in your body now... let it all slip away into the wind. Focus on any messages you may be receiving and trust your intuition. Accept whatever you are given and ask your angels, guides, and spirit animals to be present with you whenever you need them. They’re happy to help. Breathe deeply and allow energy to flow easily through your body, you may remain meditating in this state as long as you wish.

Some of the ways this little pup has inspired me 🐾

Dogs have an ability to heal that is truly extraordinary and it is not limited. As my mental health has improved, so has my relationship with Boreal. My ability to see her as an individual and how I process her imperfections.

I have come a long way from where I started when I got this tiny potato, and I still have a long way to go. It never ends but I can truly say I have learned to begin to love myself, to validate my emotions and experience, and heal. It always surprises me how much of my own mental health affects my other relationships. It's almost a daily struggle of whether or not my mental health challenges exist, but even yesterday going through sketchbooks from high school and middle school there were some of the saddest drawings among the doodles, and a smaller anxiety attack late in the evening.

Today my baby girl turns 5 😭

Peep the video to see a compilation of how her birthday eve went yesterday with all her friends including Momo her sister from the same litter! This was their first birthday party celebrated together since we only met last March! It was a very full day and she and I are still absolutely exhausted from it all 😂

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came and made time for us even on the double holiday weekend, it seriously meant the world to us 🥹🤍 A special thank you to @idreamofjango and @corgi_moose_crossing who showed up early and stayed late to help set up and take down, I can't imagine how much more stressed I would have been without you ladies and your loyal pups 😭😭😭😭 🤍

I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted for a birthday theme but when I found this camping image with the cozy lights, fire, and tent - I KNEW that was it and I had to recreate it (cover image background). I also knew Boreal wasn't going to be down for just snuggles and pupcups by the fire so I made sure to throw in a hike and wow did nature deliver 😍 The views were stunning all evening and we were treated to a gorgeous golden hour and cotton candy clouds and frosted fudge to walk on 🤭 The girls had their own piles of cotton candy and chocolate dust when I brushed them at the end of the night 😂

It was a beautiful evening with friends and laughter and pupcups are always fun but having some @drinkpupsip in little plastic martini cups and some freshly whipped heavy cream on top made for SUCH a fun time. The girls also wore matching @risingriverllc collars and @mousytags tags 🤍

Unfortunately Boreal and I work today but for all those of you who have the day off, remember its actually for Boreal, not Presidents day 😂

I had the pleasure of going on a road trip with both her and @mileswithmyla last year. Definitely some things I'd do differently but overall some very beautiful memories 💕

A reflection on 2025 & all those who made it special 💕

This year began in ice — blue walls of frozen water, breath billowing in the frozen air — and somehow strangers stepped out of the frigid winter and became real, warm and welcoming. Names, paws, and laughter echoing through frozen landscapes into lasting friendships.

Snow carried us through February. Powder days. Another year of Boreal: running ahead; joyful and certain; reminding me that the best version of ourselves is something you grow into together.

By March, the earth turned red. We followed the sun south into stone corridors and open sky, traveling with family written by fur not blood. Canyons held our voices. Snow followed us home.

Spring arrived softly — pink blossoms against desert dust, clouds that looked painted into the sky. Reunions, long conversations, the feeling of things finally thawing.

May dazzled us with all the seasons. From snowboards to paddleboards, blooming trees, cold water, and warm sun.

June opened our hearts wider. New friends of all sizes and wild places stretched thin with light. Lupins bloomed and the world felt briefly infinite.

Then July shifted something deep. Oceans and waterfalls, long miles, quiet mornings. I learned how to stand steadier in myself. Healing didn’t announce itself — it began like a sunrise.

August blurred. Wheels turning, dust rising, movement as a lifeline. Staying busy to stay afloat.

September asked for depth. Saltwater and silence. Caves and warm springs. Fall whispered at the forest's seams.

October burned bright — snow on peaks, trees on fire, another year for me around the sun. My favorite kind of beauty: contrast.

November came undone. Uncomfortably warm. Loss settled in heavy and strange. And yet — community held me fast. Familiar hearts holding me in place when the ground felt unsteady.

December slowed everything. Rain. Injury. Grief. Soft light and softer days. Learning, finally, how to rest without guilt.

A year of motion and stillness. Of dogs and their humans who led me forward. Of landscapes that held what I couldn’t. Of becoming — slowly, unevenly — someone braver than before.
