BARDAK
première at @sommerwerft

This insane project charged with so many stories, adventures, so many souls and ideas of so many people. It felt like it's not going to happen and yet it did. The project itself is already transmitting the idea of belief in what you do even when everything seems to be falling apart. A bit like our world. But I still hope, I still believe. And even sometimes, I manage to joke and laugh.

Forever greatful to @antagontheateraktion team for hospitality, deeply thankful to my team:
Director @_kostyanovitskiy_
Sound & tech master @iebbax
Visual concept & props @valerasnd
Scenography Taras Glushakov & @sashamyalin
Original soundtrack by @luizmuragram & Daniel Christen
Original material created with @anton_adasinskiy @actressverajegorova

Next stop - @hcafestivals

BARDAK
absurd, visual and poetic theatre performance without any spoken text by DOMOVOI THEATRE COMPANY (CH)

“Chaos is that from which everything was born, and it seems, that to which everything goes!”

SYNOPSIS
In a world emptied by an unseen catastrophe, a house spirit awakens alone among the traces of humanity. Through poetic clown, physical theatre and visual imagery, BARDAK explores chaos, memory and fragile hope — a tragicomic reflection on our relationship to the world we inhabit.

The work was originally directed by the master of imagery Anton Adasinsky and reprise directed by the young Ukrainian director Kostya Novitsky, new visual concept by Valeriia Nikolicheva. BARDAK transforms modern existential fears – from the ecology to isolation – into a dreamlike, absurd adventure. With original music by Daniel Christen (CH) and Luiz Murakami (BR/ES), it is a universal experience for a multicultural audience of all ages.

Witness the poetry of the apocalypse. Experience the silence and embrace the chaos. Like a crack in the earth, from which a light still glows.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN DOMOVOI?

[IT]
Incredibile! Questo si che è una fiaba! Si chiama Vita!
---
The Fairy Tale Festival was very special for us – our first time in a big top, thanks to @compagnie_pas_de_deux ; the first time we tried out the 360-degree rotating backdrop with the new painting on the back, thanks to @marcotulliogiulia and Franci; but above all, it was our first time in Switzerland since our tour at @festivaloffavignon_
And the big question: do you yourself believe in Domovoi? In a spirit that lives in a house? A brownie, a gnome? Well, we had quite a few in the audience who really believed in them; some even came with Domovoi puppets, one in each arm. Incredible! Now that’s a fairy tale! It’s called Life!

Big spasibo to @_kostyanovitskiy_ & @iebbax
