We didn’t leave the state, we just needed a few days away from the noise. 🪵

We loaded up the car with some friends and headed to @villagecampresorts right outside Flagstaff. Modern cabins with room for everybody, slow mornings, good food, and even snuck in some altitude training while we were up there.

Turns out the best trips aren’t always the farthest ones, just the ones with the right people.

If you’ve been needing a pause, this is your sign!

Pride rarely announces itself.

It shows up in the moments we stop listening.
When we think we’ve got it all figured out.
When we refuse correction because protecting our ego becomes more important than pursuing growth.

That’s why Proverbs 18:12 says:

“Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor.”

The destruction doesn’t always happen overnight. It starts with small compromises, a closed heart, and a mindset that says, “I don’t need anyone.”

Humility isn’t weakness.
It’s the willingness to stay teachable.
To receive correction.
To give God the credit.
To remember there’s always another level to grow into.

The people who continue to grow are usually the ones who never believe they’ve arrived.

Stay humble.
Stay coachable.
Honor will take care of itself.

Stepping into places we once only prayed about.
