Isaiah 6:8

God truly prepared the way and had His hand over this whole Expedition. During the time the team and I spent on Ilha dos Ratos and Ilha dos Porcos, we truly saw God move in such a powerful way, countless people healed, set free, delivered, and SAVED! Our God is so alive and still working miracles, and transforming an entire islands for Jesus. Going from none of the island being saved to 75-80% of Ilha dos Ratos accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Thank you to @overlandmissions for enabling this to happen and providing such amazing leadership while we were in country! All glory to God for the work he has done and will continue in Mozambique! I truly am blessed beyond words to be able to have gone on this trip and truly participate in being the hands and feet of Jesus! Thank you to those who financially partnered with me for this trip!

God met me at my lowest in February, three years ago. I had turned my back on Him and followed my own path in hope of finding my own happiness. But thank God that “we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness,” because that night, as I felt all else was crumbling, Elizabeth reminded me of the gospel that I had heard a million times growing up. However, this time it was different—I truly saw the cross. It was for me. While I “was still a sinner, Christ died for me.”

I told Him in that moment that I was sick of my own way, and I would give Him my life if He would take away the pain. In that moment, I felt all the weight of my sin lift off my body, and I was able to get off the ground. Ever since then, I have wanted to live my life for Jesus.

Today, three years and two months later, I finally got baptized, and I got to do it alongside Miles and Elizabeth! I can proudly say, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Lastly, I wanted to say that if you have read this far and do not personally know Jesus, or if you haven’t fully understood His story, or if you don’t get any of this—please reach out to me. I beg you. I would give anything to answer your questions and tell you about the Savior of the world, who loves you so much.

“But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”
