After pacing around my living room for a month with a fake microphone (a highlighter) and talking to imaginary audiences…

I finally got to do it for real 🎤😂.

One shot. One opportunity. One very well-rehearsed living room.

Turns out, the real stage was a lot more fun 💃🪩.

Thank you coaches and volunteers of @ignitesea (: 🙌🏽. It was truly an opportunity of a lifetime 🙏🏽🥺.

Trash to treasure was only part of the story.

The transformation that means the most is seeing refugee and immigrant women turn their skills into a first paycheck, first car, even a first home in America.

That’s why reuse is MY love language. ✨

Grateful for the chance to share this journey, and for every friend and family member cheering me on. ❤️

My helpmeet David's talk "I've Been Kicked Out Of 237 Casinos And One Church" will be closing the @ignitesea show this coming Thursday at Town Hall Seattle. (The one church would be when Mark Driscoll banned him from Mars Hill because of me so there will be Driscoll tea.) Everyone's invited to the afterparty at the Sorrento, would be rad to see you!

Last night’s @ignitesea was super inspiring and I’m so grateful to live in a city that embraces events like this.

@karicassidydiercks and her family joined us at Town Hall for an evening of rapid-fire talks covering everything from music and storytelling to ideas that challenge the way we think.
Some talks made us laugh, some made us think, and a few sparked conversations we were still having on the drive home.

That’s the kind of experience as a parent, I want to share with my boys. Diverse perspectives, creative thinking, and people willing to share ideas openly with their community.

Seattle is such a special place!

Stop Recapping. Start Igniting. 🔥
Your audience doesn’t need a map of where you’ve been—they need a vision of where they’re going.
The best endings don’t say “The End.” They say “The Beginning.”

The Formula:
1️⃣ Identify the Change: If your message lands, what shifts?
2️⃣ Visualize the Result: What does that change look like?
3️⃣ Call to Dream: Turn that result into a vivid, one-sentence “What If.”
The Result?
A talk that doesn’t just sit in their notebooks, but stays in their heads.
