It's my birthday and this year, I am most grateful for Tech4Dev.

Me!!! I am one of the 1,367 exceptional women who graduated from the Women Techsters Bootcamp, Cohort 4.1.

When this journey began, the odds felt stacked against me. I had just wrapped up what felt like a five-year chapter at an organization and was standing at a crossroads, uncertain, searching, and asking myself “What next?” I knew one thing for sure: It was finally time to step into tech, something I had always wanted since “tech” became a thing, but the how wasn’t clear yet.
Then I came across @Tech4Dev.

I saw the link to apply for the Women Techsters Bootcamp and my heart sank because the application deadline had passed the day before. I almost gave up but then I asked myself, “What’s the worst that could happen?” So I applied anyway.
And I got in. 💃🏽🎉

I passed orientation, but soon after, I struggled to settle into the learning platform. After reaching out to support, I received a response that said:
“…kindly exhaust all alternative research methods before contacting the Support Team.”
I was frantic because I truly had tried everything and I knew it was a technical issue. One thing was clear though: I was not giving up, I had been selected from over 10,000 women, and I was determined to see it through. This wasn’t just a bootcamp for me, this was my ticket to a better life.

Along the way, I met the most incredible women, brilliant, competent, intentional coursemates; supportive accountability partners; and amazing team members.
Thank you, ladies, for being exceptional.

A special thank you to our facilitator, Nasfisat for your patience, clarity, and dedication. You delivered excellent Product Management training in just two weeks and supported us fully through our capstone project. You truly made the experience unforgettable, I hear your calm voice in my sleep sometimes 🤣.

And to Tech4Dev, Thank you for an opportunity that will count for a million years. Thank you for being my IN into the life I desire. Thank you for taking a chance on me.
I waited till today because this is the best birthday present ever, I am eternally grateful.
