It's dangerous to go alone, so we're taking our union. And the Pac Media Guild 👀

IGN live was amazing because of the people who I work with. They deserve fair pay. They don't deserve to be laid off the next day.

This weekend IGN put on its 3rd annual fan event called IGN Live. This event takes so much planning and coordination to pull off. The team crushes it every single year. It’s the most fun show we produce imo! That said, it couldn’t be done without the folks in @ignunion and right now, we need your support. Please go to the link in my bio (or use the QR code) to send an email to upper management asking them to pay us a living wage. 💜 #ignunion #igncreatorsguild #unionstrong #unionstrong💪

Our little union is getting a bit bigger!

Today, we proposed the addition of our product, engineering, and all the Humble Bundle folks into our unit.

Join us in welcoming our peers and asking IGN Entertainment Inc. management to voluntarily recognize their addition into our union!

In today’s clips from the past that still hold up in 2025, here’s a portion of our DICE Awards show from last year.

(Though it may have aged poorly for me, I’m so thankful IGN has a union now and that they’re still working with me 🩷)

This year began, and then, eventually, it ended. Was it a good year? Maybe not for the state of the world. Was it an interesting one? Yeah. Definitely. Will the new year be better? Who’s to say? But will we keep moving forward? God, I hope so.

If you enjoy the incredible work that all of us at IGN do please sign the petition (link in my bio) to encourage voluntary recognition and share this post and the petition far and wide! The digital media landscape is getting ever tougher and we’ve got to stick together to make it sustainable and survivable for all of us!✨

As this @ignunion demonstrates, creators and journalists alike are stronger when they stand together.

As the media industry’s instability continues, with layoffs and shutdowns happening left, right, and center, understanding the modern media sphere has never been more important. Namely, journalists these days are more than writers: they’re TikTokers, video editors, podcast presenters, and everything in between.

There’s been a growing interest in creative labor organization. This ranges from the Hollywood strikes of 2023 to the founding of new professional organizations like the Creators Guild of America. It’s clear solidarity now is more prevalent than ever for creators. Learn more in the link in bio. 🔗
