Another successful weekend for the Lucha Boyz! 🏆🔥

Zvezdan Dukic got the job done in under a minute! Closed the distance, secured the rear-naked choke, and brought home championship gold! 🥇

Our sponsored grappler Mercer stepped up for a last-minute superfight against an opponent nearly 80 LBS heavier and secured a first-round armbar! 💪

Big congratulations to Manny on capturing championship gold by unanimous decision! Shoutout to Tommy as well!

Unfortunately, not everyone got the result they wanted. James McKenna came out strong and fought his heart out. A few mistakes cost us, but that's the game. Proud to have been in his corner. We learn, adjust, and come back better. Much respect to Sophie for getting out there and competing as well.

Win or lose, there's always something to take away from these nights. Proud of everyone who stepped in there, and grateful to be part of the journey.

On to the next one. GROW UP! 🤼‍♂️🔥

What started as a passion became a way of life. 🥊

Never imagined where this journey would take me or the people I'd meet along the way.

Still building. Still learning. Still grateful for every moment. 🙏

A bittersweet night for the Lucha Boys.

First, a HUGE congratulations to Bart on another great performance and a successful title defense. 🏆

Bart controlled the tempo, stayed composed, followed the game plan, landed some beautiful strikes, and got the job done in Round 2 by TKO. Beautiful work and another championship performance.

Unfortunately, Alex sustained an injury during his bout. He had a great camp, came prepared, and represented us well. Right now, the only thing that matters is his health and recovery. We’ll wait to hear more from the doctors and take everything one step at a time.

Wishing Alex a speedy recovery. We’re all in your corner, brother. ❤️

The highs and lows are part of this game. We move forward together.

Another night at the office. 🥊

Great night for the team — 1 TKO, 1 submission, 1 decision & 1 heavyweight grappling win. 🧹

There’s a lot that goes into nights like these, and I’m grateful for everyone who played a part — helping us prepare in the gym, giving words of encouragement, helping at the venue, and showing up to support our athletes.

Thank you to everyone who came through for the team. 🙏

Let’s run the night back ➡️

First up — Quincy “Stuntman” Howard 🎬

Walked into the cage repping LUCHA, handled business and came out with the W. 🥷

And of course… the classic Quincy filter 😂

1-0 on the night. ✅

Next up — Igor. 🏆

We knew this one was going to be a challenge. He faced some real adversity, stayed composed and found a way to get the job done.

Another championship belt comes home with the team. 🏆

2-0. Business handled. ✅

Then Keith kept the night rolling. 🥊

First-round submission — belly-down ankle lock. 🔒

Quick work, handled business and kept the clean sweep alive.

3-0 in MMA. 🧹

One more to go…

4-0 on the night. 🧹

1 TKO. 1 submission. 1 decision. 1 heavyweight grappling win.

Congratulations to all the athletes and everybody who helped make the night happen.

And a special shoutout to my boy Edgar 📸 for capturing all these moments for us — even if he ended up on the other side of the camera at the end 😂

Thank you Flex Fights for having us.

Next stop: MSG. 🗽🥊

LUCHA! LUCHA! LUCHA!

LONG OVERDUE. 🟣🥋

Last night at @striking101 , I had the pleasure of promoting Jasik to purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Jasik came to me with plenty of experience already. Before the promotion, I spoke with his previous grappling coach, @jon_calestine , who I’m fortunate to be friends with. We both agreed this promotion was well overdue.

Since joining us, Jasik has been a great addition to the team. He’s always helping the guys through their fight camps, pushing the room, keeping everyone sharp, and being someone you can always count on as a training partner.

Great work ethic, great athlete, great training partner. Congratulations, Jasik. Well earned. 🟣👏

Shoutout to the room last night too. 15 active or formerly active MMA fighters all sharing the mats. We teach all levels at Striking 101, but what makes this room what it is is the people in it. Everyone pushes each other, helps each other improve, and is approachable and willing to help the next person get better.

I can’t take all the credit for what we’re building. It’s the room. It’s the team. A room full of killers helping each other get better. 🥊🤼‍♂️🥋

If you’re looking to join the team, come ready to learn, work, and contribute to the room. Most importantly, be coachable and be ready to hear some tough feedback. This is a tough sport, and getting better isn’t always comfortable.

See you guys at Melrose this Saturday! 🥊🔥

And make sure you catch Jasik at MSG on September 26th. 🗽🔥

Swipe ➡️ to check out some killers. 😈
