The incoming tide Godrevy Lighthouse, Cornwall.

Captured an hour before high tide put me on a high state of alert with these waves crashing over the rocks right up to my feet, certainly not a place to lose concentration or footing.

“Milky Way? Again?”

Absolutely.

Since 2018, I’ve kept coming back to dark skies, remote places and that familiar glow stretching across the night.

Different locations. Different conditions. Different photographs.

But somehow, the Milky Way never feels repetitive.

Every time it rises, I still want to point the camera up.

So yes… Milky Way. Again. 🌌

This must have been one of the coolest sunsets (or sunrises... this was taken at half past one in the middle of night so i don't really now what to call it😁) i have witnessed. With the dark looming clouds and amazing colours filling the entire sky.
I have published a version from this night earlier with whitebalance set to daylight but on this i chose to take the whitebalance from the rocks, i think this looks more natural where the other one is more blueish which probably is more correct but feels off.

I hope you are having a great weekend!😀

This is a Panorama taken late June 2025 at quarter past two in the middle of night, just before sunrise (happening behind me). I really like the light we have here where i live. The two three hours between sunset and sunrise in the middle of summer can be really amazing.... Here it was cloudy but i like the mood it creates!

What do you feel when you see this?

Technology has really progressed, for better or worse! In this case for the better! I think it's incredible that you can get this result with ISO 25600 (my last post was ISO 16000), it really opens up the possibilities for those of us who like to take photos... Sometimes in poor light!

Canon R8, f5, 1/640, ISO 25600 (with a surprisingly small amount of noise reduction)
