summer ‘25 i learned a good handful of things. i learned a lot about myself, my friends, my family. i learned how to take risks and have fun outside of my comfort zone. i learned to cherish the time i have with the people i love most because i always seem take it for granted looking back. but most importantly, i learned that the only guaranteed constant in life is change. although i’ve heard it many many times before, ive never learned to listen to it until now. change has always been a tough pill for me to swallow. senior year was especially hard for me because of that anticipated shift in any sort of familiarity i once had. so i made a promise to myself to document all that i know id miss this summer. so! here is my ode to everything i love and adore.

how lucky am i to have the privilege of experiencing life with the people i believe have the purest of hearts, the smartest of minds, and the strongest of wills. i could not ask for a better support system. without even knowing it, my friends and family have helped me bring peace to my most restless nerves. they show me that change is nothing to be afraid of because change encourages growth and there is no growth without change. i have loved growing older with my people and watching them become wiser and stronger with every lesson put on their plate. it is unspoken how impressive it is to come out of hardship and use it as a steeping stool that builds you higher rather than weights that pull you down. i have so much respect for those who’ve allowed me into their little worlds & showed me their true colors. i am extremely lucky to be able to look back on my life and to see all of the beautiful souls i’ve connected with. that is probably what brings me the most comfort. the fact that even though everything is constantly changing, one thing that won’t change is the love i possess and the memories i keep. each memory is permanently pasted on our timeline, forever lingering in our dimension of time. the pure emotion felt in those moments will be treasured in those unreachable fragments, not ever to be skewed. now
i can’t wait to see what change has in store for me! to grieve so deeply means to have loved fully. <3
