Never did I imagine that 4 years would go by so so quickly. They say that time is a thief, and boy they aren’t lying.

It’s hard to put into words just how much Belfry High School has meant to me. At a time I was eager for change, it welcomed me with open arms. New experiences, opportunities, faces, and community were awaiting me. Initially, I was nervous, but all the anxiety melted away as soon as I stepped into the fullness of what God had in store.

I have been incredibly blessed by Jesus to be a Pirate. BHS wasn’t just a place I came for 7 hours a day to get an education or even make friends: it was HOME and a home where I could minister to others and show them the love of Jesus—and I sincerely pray with every fiber in my being that I did so as efficiently and effectively as God wanted me to.

Thank you to all of my friends, teachers, administrators, mentors, coaches—from grade school til now—my family, and most importantly, the Good Lord above for the best 4 years of my life. To say I’m sad about this chapter closing would be an utter understatement, but so would saying that I’m excited for the next one—and I truly, truly am.

Thank you Belfry for all the memories, wisdom, and opportunities to grow, flourish, and Kingdom build. I’m eager to take all that I’ve learned with me as I begin UPIKE in the fall, and I pray I hold onto it so that I can come back to BHS in 3-4 years—not as a student, but as a teacher.

So, this isn’t a goodbye—it’s just a see you later! I love you, BHS. Once a Pirate, always a Pirate… ❤️☠️🎓
