🚨 Instagram is putting creators on notice. #Instagram is stepping up enforcement against videos made with #Meta smart glasses when the content involves secretly filming strangers, embarrassing people for views, or intentionally provoking unsuspecting people in public. Instagram chief #AdamMosseri says content that crosses the line into harassment or exploitation can be removed from the platform. A major focus appears to be videos where creators approach people without their knowledge while recording including so called pickup content as well as prank videos that put retail employees, restaurant workers, gym goers, or random pedestrians in uncomfortable situations. The crackdown has reportedly already affected large creator pages, with some accounts being taken down and certain searches becoming harder to find as Instagram clears violating content from the platform. Meta is also addressing the glasses themselves. The company has safeguards designed to prevent people from hiding or interfering with the visible recording light, making it more difficult to secretly record someone without them realizing a camera is active. 👀 The message is becoming pretty clear: having a camera in your glasses doesn’t mean everything you capture belongs on social media. What do y’all think is Instagram making the right move, or is this going too far? 👇🏾 #InstagramNews #MetaGlasses SmartGlasses SocialMediaNews ContentCreators Meta ViralNews
