authentic szechuan to cure the winter blues…. 📍Blue Peak Villa | NYC | 200 Allen St

One of the most beautiful szechuan restaurants I’ve had the honor of visiting in nyc. What stood out to me as someone that lives and breathes good food and restaurants is that the interior was incredibly unique and I loved how simple but clean and romantic it was. Definitely an elevated version of authentic szechuan cuisine. I loved their creative spins on the egg soufflé which I grew up eating but first time having it served via fire which was a beautiful show. Also the truffle fried rice and the green pepper stir fried beef was just a beautiful touch. The chilli wontons is a must with the scallion pancakes. Loved every minute dining at blue peak villa and the price is incredibly reasonable for nyc.

If you love a unique and yet authentic szechuan cuisine experience then this is a must visit. You can’t enjoy the food without a great appreciation for the culture. This is the heart of America. A melting pot of different cultures and cuisines with a western twist.

My heart is so full ❤️ Feeling incredibly grateful for the past two weekends of reconnecting with friends from LA and SF in NYC before I head back to Asia for a bit.

NY, you’ve been so good to me…and I’ll be back 🫶 It feels like a full-circle moment: these are the same people who celebrated my last day in LA before my move to NY, and now they’re here with me again as I leave NY to reconnect in Asia.

It’s only two weeks, but even leaving for a few days feels big. I don’t think I’ve stayed put in one city as long as I have here in NYC. And somehow, no matter where I go, these people always seem to find me. For that, I am forever grateful ❤️

What a SUPER Saturday it was✨

From getting to deepen our self love and try kundalini yoga, wrap dumplings as part of a Lunar New Year tradition, experience soothing breathwork strategies, and bring our inner child out to make our 2025 vision boards, it was indeed superb.

And peep those nice nails in the beginning?? 👀 Yess that’s @impresswithdes who shared, “It felt so nice to slow down time and be intentional and vulnerable with all the participants. I was thoroughly engaged and impressed with every activity and I can’t wait to see what other events Suamora comes up with!”

We lovee our community members as much as we love culture and wellness🙂‍↔️ If you do too, save the date for our next community event at the @welcome.to.chinatown hub on March 25th!! This one will be for the lovely ladies and hardworking hunnies.

Still floating from this super dreamy day✨🥟🙂‍↔️

From baos n spongies to breathwork, dumpling wrapping to visioning—our hearts and bellies were so full.

Immense gratitude to everyone for making this magical day a super success, but especially to our workshop leaders and Suamora team.

✨ Thank you to Miauwling for initiating this wellness event with me and sharing your beautiful energy and guidance for deeper love.

⚡️ Thank you to Jenny for being an amazing home cook and spending 6+ hours with me to buy groceries, make tons of filling, and prepare us to wrap some dang good dumplings.

🔥 Thank you to Daniel for bringing your elevational energy and grounding guidance to breathe and live more at ease. And for bringing the fire fit!

🪄 Thank you to Selina for bringing your operational and creative magic touch that glued this entire event and setup together, while leading us in an inspirational experience, bringing our beautiful inner child out.

💝 Thank you to Dayana our sweet volunteer who provided so much strength and support while getting to balance both helping out and participating in the fun.

🧡 Thank you to my dear Francheska who has been my rock since Day 1, being such an incredible individual in all aspects, creating all of our awesome graphics, and helping in all the ways we needed to make this event picture perfect.

💛 Special shoutout to Francheska’s sister for making cassava cake for our dessert and Daniel’s mama for making kimbap for our lunch. It was only right to include all of our cultures for this Lunar New Year wellness day, and we got to enjoy some goodies as well from @softswervenyc, @vanessasdumplinghouse, @spongiescafe, @soybeanclub.co and @mkcthreads along with the most superb visit from @ny.chinesefreemasons 🥰🙏🏼

❤️ Last but not least, shoutout to my sausage dog Vienna for being the cutest pie and mascot in her lil cheongsam. Our furbabies are most def part of our Resilient and Loving family hehe
