An important part of our programming is our Pillar Block, which targets the trunk, hips, and shoulder complexes.

These areas are especially important for golfers to develop strength, stability, and control, helping them move efficiently and transfer force throughout the swing.

We complete this block immediately after our warm-up, before moving into our main power and strength exercises.

While this might look like traditional activation work that prepares the muscles for the session, we want to actually strengthen them and see meaningful improvements over time.

The key is finding the right balance of intensity and volume. Enough stimulus to drive progress, but not so much that we fatigue these muscles before the heavier work begins.

And by prioritizing this block early in the session, we ensure it gets the attention it deserves rather than being rushed or skipped at the end.

How quickly can you hit the brakes? 🛑

Golf requires a lot of acceleration, but being able to decelerate and absorb force matters too.

Love combining a Box Jump → Depth Drop, something picked up from @mbscofficial . Nice high landing on the box, then step off and absorb the landing as quickly and cleanly as possible.
