2026 Kumamoto Earthquake Fundraiser

Kumamoto was struck by a magnitude 7.1 earthquake. In an instant, many people lost their homes, their loved ones, and their everyday lives.

Kumamoto still needs our help. 🙏

In 2016, Kumamoto was devastated by a major earthquake, with two earthquakes reaching a seismic intensity of 7. Ten years later, Kumamoto has been struck again.

As a Japanese DJ crew, we chose to focus on Kumamoto, a place close to our roots. Join us for an evening of Japanese food and music at TILLATEC, where we hope to turn a shared table and a shared dancefloor into meaningful support.

All profits from the day, including dinner, will be donated to @japaneseredcross_official, supporting communities affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.

Join us in supporting Kumamoto. 🇯🇵

Yes family 🙏🏾

Thankful as always.

We started this on King's Day not even knowing if it would work. Now, a whole summer, every Sunday, no skips, with Nido at Orchid House. Madness.

Twelve selectors graced the decks this summer from America, Japan, the UK, right here in the Netherlands, showing love to the local scene. Much love to each and everyone of you. 🙌🏾

Shouts to Nikka, our sponsor, locked in with us for the next twelve sessions. 🥃

And to this community, you rolled through, you believed in this before there was even much to believe in, and you're still here. 🤎

Memories, birthdays, vibes, life, shared. And through all of it, we're doing exactly what we said we'd do. Saving music.

Summer's ending. The vibes continue. 🔥

Now, we're putting out a call. Not just DJs, musicians, writers, publishers, sculptors, artists, anyone who's serious about music and wants to share something with Sunday Vinyl Service. DM us or comment

If that's you, or you know someone, let's talk. And ofc, the artist gets paid.

Love, wax.

The Japanese word, iki (粋) is better felt than translated. A sense of effortless style. Refinement with ease. Beauty in the details, not the excess.

That’s the whole idea behind @iki.ams, a Japanese DJ crew based in Amsterdam, and it’s why, when we met them, it just clicked.

In their words: they’re a crew that loves house. They focus on the raw sounds and small details inside each track, then blend them so carefully the songs take on another life. Nothing forced, nothing flashy, just taste, and feel.

That’s the same thing we seek at wax. Not the loudest room, the room with the most care in it. Style of Japan, energy of Amsterdam, house and electro, and a real respect for the record.

It’s the details.

We look forward to many more years together🥂
