Friday night at @solefolks was a GOOD time! Big shout out to everybody who came out, especially those who came for the first time or came solo. 🖤

By the end of the night, you would’ve thought everybody knew each other for years. This is what we love about bringing people together through games! 😌

We played some of our favorites like:
@ikyflgame, @tradingraces, @buildabae__ , and @iykyk.games before our Black-owned trivia game showdown.

Much love to our friends at @lyricallycorrectgame, @showwhatyouknow, @triviaforus, @whosegenisthis, and @whatsthehookgame for providing the fun games for our free raffle giveaway, @wangsatvenice for coming through with the delicious wings and @luq.look for keeping the energy up all night.

If you were there, tell us your favorite moment! And if you missed it, we’re back Friday, November 6th. Come see what you’ve been missing! 🎲

Wednesday night was a good reminder that creative connection doesn’t always have to look like a networking event with name tags and elevator pictures. Sometimes it looks like mocktails 🍹, Uno getting a little too serious 😂, a game of IKYFL, and meeting people you probably wouldn’t have crossed paths with otherwise 🙌🏾👥.

I volunteered at the Dallas Black queer collective social mixer, and had such a good time connecting with people, supporting that you think, and just being in community.

This is what local creative connection can look like too: showing up, being present, and letting the conversation happen naturally. 📸✨

One of our favorite parts of hosting The Blackout is playing “board game sommelier.” 😂

With 100+ games by Black game makers in the room, we learned that everybody doesn’t connect the same way…and they shouldn’t have to.

Some people want trivia. Some want strategy. Some want to talk trash. Some swear they “don’t play games.” We’ll find something for you. 😂

The lesson: Give people options. Let them find what clicks.

What type of games do you want to see more of at your next game night event?

I gave y’all a month to watch… and now I can finally say it…

Everybody wanted to know what MUFF would do if MUFF didn’t winnn……. I guess we will never know 😂🍾

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who’s been in my corner—my friends, my family, my Garçon family, my J3 family, and last but definitely not least, my IKYFL family. Thank y’all for continuing to see the spark in me. So many of you spoke life into me, even while fighting your own battles. You showed me love, gave me peace, and kept pushing me in the right direction without even realizing how much it meant.

A huge thank you to @terrellgrice @ikyflgame for giving me this opportunity and seeing the HLIC in me before the world did. And to the entire production team @justjamaya , @iamstephaune , vivian, @thatssorylee and everyone behind the scenes—thank y’all for making sure we had everything we needed, making sure we got around safely, and creating an experience I’ll never forget. Y’all made this journey truly worthwhile.

And to Muff…

I’m so fucking proud of you.

Thank you for taking chances. For believing in yourself. For not giving a single fuck about who doubted you and continuing to put yourself out there anyway. For never giving up. For always finding a way to make something shake. You’re innovative. You’re resilient. You’re God-fearing.

Most importantly…

You’re a WINNER. I WON, NIGGAS. 🏆💰

Now excuse me while I enjoy being $10,000 richer. 🥃 Take a shot for me! #ikyflseason2winner

I don’t even know if “thank you” is big enough. 🥹🧡

To my village, the loml, and everybody who pushed me to apply when doubt almost talked me out of it…look what God did. WE MADE IT! I’m on TV! 😭

@terrellgrice , I told you this on set, but I’ll say it again: thank you for saving my life.

I’ve watched you grow from the reaction videos before the Blue Wall, to the interviews with all those sangin’ ass people 😂, Race to the Blue, getting us through COVID, T & Coco, the 1 Million Show, and eventually IKYFL. But beyond everything you’ve created, your story changed me.

Watching another country boi from North Carolina leave home, follow God’s purpose, survive the hard parts, and have one opportunity change his life gave me something to believe in for my own. And somehow, the same year you shared that story, I found God for myself.

Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for pulling me aside and reminding me that you chose me for a reason. Thank you for what you poured into me and entrusted me with. I will never take it for granted.

Thank you for believing in this lil country boi from Greensboro, NC… I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we work together. 🧡

To my castmates: y’all became chosen family. Some of the most OUTSTANDING people I’ve ever met, and baby… we turned @tubi UP! 😂
We are apart of the Terrell Universe now!

And to everyone watching, posting, texting, calling, rooting for me and screaming at your TVs—thank you for loving me through this experience, and for loving me being me.

To Montré: I hope I continue to make you proud. Thank you for breathing life into me.

All 8 episodes of IKYFL Season 2 are OUT NOW on @Tubi! 👀

#TeamMontré til the END, baby! 🧡

It still doesn’t feel real that this is something I did. You can tell how happy I am just to be there. I was chosen out of thousands to participate in IKYFL Season 2 and this experience really changed my life. I gained lifelong friends that feel like family, I strengthened my relationship with God and I learned to really trust myself when things get hard.

I have to thank @terrellgrice. I fear words cannot truly express how eternally grateful I am to have been a part of this. Thank you for choosing me. I have been a fan for so many years and am so proud of everything you have accomplished. I am so honored to be a part of your legacy.

I also want to thank my cast mates. We really rode for each other. We practiced together, laughed together, drank together, cried together, and poured into each other everyday we were there. I can’t imagine doing this without them and miss them all the time.

If you still haven’t seen it, check out IKYFL Season 2 on Tubi! #ikyfl #ikyflgame
