POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

So many amazing events already in 2026!

In the next month we have MAX in Milwaukee, or at IEBA and IMEX… who will we see there?

We loved being part of an incredible gathering of the FFEA and ILEA communities — bringing great entertainment, reconnecting with friends, making new connections, and celebrating the people who make this industry so special.

From the entertainment to the conversations to the energy in the room, it was a great reminder of why we love what we do.

Grateful for the relationships, the opportunities, and more memorable nights with an amazing events world.

PR success doesn’t happen by accident. It takes strategy.

I recently had the opportunity to share my Blueprint for PR Success at @ileachicago Live!

After three decades in the communications industry and now 10 years building Mekky Media, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when great storytelling is backed by a real strategy.

PR is so much more than getting your name in the media. It’s about knowing your story, understanding who needs to hear it and building the credibility and connections that move your business forward.

I loved getting to share some of what I’ve learned along the way to a packed room! 🩵

CHICAGO, YOU WERE GOOD TO ME. 🌆🔥

What an experience at ILEA Live 2026! @ileachicago

A few days filled with connection, education, networking, new ideas, and conversations with some incredible people in the events and hospitality industry — plus getting a chance to step away, explore Chicago, and experience everything the city has to offer.

One of the biggest reasons I continue to attend events like ILEA Live is simple: you can never stop learning.

Our industry keeps changing. Technology is changing. AI is changing how we work. Client expectations are changing. Experiences are getting bigger and more creative.

And sometimes the best ideas don’t come from sitting behind a desk — they come from getting into a room with other people who are building, creating, struggling, succeeding, and pushing this industry forward.

🤝 New connections
💡 New ideas
🎓 Event education
🌎 Different perspectives
🔥 Plenty of inspiration to bring back home

And somewhere in between all of that… I got to actually enjoy Chicago! 😂🌆

Great people. Great conversations. Great food. Great city. Great experience.

I’m coming home energized, inspired, and with a few new ideas already brewing for what’s next. 👀

Thank you to ILEA and everyone who helped make ILEA Live 2026 such a memorable experience.

Chicago 2026 is officially in the books. ✅

✨ Igniting Futures ✨

What a way to kick off the ILEA Chicago conference! 🔥

We loved being part of the Igniting Futures: Conference Kickoff Event and bringing a few of our favorite interactive experiences along for the celebration!

📸 Our Roaming Photo Booth was on the move, capturing candid moments, connections, and all the fun throughout the night.

🎈 Our Edible Helium Balloons added a little extra fun (and plenty of smiles!) to the celebration.

A huge thank you to @ileachicago and our fellow event sponsors @the_food_truck_hub @flowersfordreamsfoundation @theagentofenigmas @windycitylinen and for the incredible event space @igniteglass

BIG ENERGY ⚡ That’s my prediction for 2027 when it comes to events.

Look at their faces... Are they having a good time?
Are they present in the moment?
Are they happy? Excited to be there?
Are they liberated?
Are they refreshed?

These are the (primary) KPIs of a great event in my opinion.. and why?

Because when you’re (all of the above 👆) then you’re in a better position to take in the value, information, tips, strategies, decks and data...

Not while you’re yawning, tired, bored, sleeping, content-drained, stressed and dis-engaged.

it doesn’t matter if your event has 10 in the room or 10,000...

The most important question to ask is:

DID THEY FEEL IT?

I sit back and asked that question about my recent talk in Chicago...

and by the looks on these amazing #Eventprofessionals faces at ILEA Greater Chicago Chapter (and the numerous DMs of gratitude & takeaways.. I think the answer was a resounding YES! 🥰 )

For any clients/ events upcoming.. I can assure you, I’m doing the research, I’m assessing the content, building the decks, simplifying the takeaways, i’m doing all the home work...

But you better believe, that i’m also planning to bring BIG ENERGY!

With love and great anticipation

Your truly,
Mr. Human Caffeine ⚡

Learning. Connecting. Creating. And making sure I’m in every room I’m supposed to be in. 🖤

ILEA Live 2026 reminded me why I love this industry. The people, the creativity, the experiences, and the endless possibilities of what we can create.

Chicago showed OUT. Now it’s time to take everything I learned and put it to work. ✨

🍷 Wine Country took on the Windy City! 🌬️

Our ILEA Napa-Sonoma crew headed to Chicago for ILEA Live 2026, joining event professionals and chapter leaders from across the globe for three days of education, inspiration, big ideas and the kind of conversations that remind us why we love this industry.

From educational sessions and chapter leadership meetings to SEARCH Live, the ESPRIT Awards and plenty of opportunities to connect in between, we came home with new ideas, new friends and a few more people around the world who now know exactly where Napa-Sonoma is. 😉

We’re incredibly proud to represent a chapter made up of world-class event professionals working right here in Wine Country. We may be a smaller chapter, but the creativity, hospitality, talent and experience our members bring to the global ILEA community is pretty mighty.

One of the best parts of ILEA? Your network doesn’t stop at the county line. Or the state line. Or, apparently, the international date line. 🌎

Cheers to our friends across the global ILEA community, to bringing fresh ideas home, and to continuing to raise the bar in Napa & Sonoma. 🥂

Look at that engaged board 💜

Fun fact - I did not know our pizza reservation was in the speakeasy of the restaurant, 3 flights of stairs and going in a freezer door later , it was worth it
