On my second suspension @jafadilambas asked if I wanted to pull the rope myself.
I accepted and in that instant I saw it clearly:
life is always asking the same question.
Will you rise by your own hand,
or drift where others decide?

Fear is a shadow projected
by something that is not there.
The mind creates phantoms
and then hides from them.
It is both the maker
and the victim
of its own creations.

Understand, dear Soul:

Fear never happens now.
It exists only in imaginary time.
In the pure present,
there is only what is.
And what is
rarely matches
what is feared.

The nature of fear is simple:
It is thought
believing in itself.
It is the mind
taking its own projections
as reality.
Like a person frightened
by their own shadow on the wall.

What you call “my anxiety”
is not yours.
It is only anxiety
appearing in consciousness.

The mind says: What if?
And you listen
as if it were an important question.
But it is only the mind doing what it does,
creating scenarios.

Fear seeks evidence of its validity.
Sometimes, it even finds some.
Other times,
it ignores the countless pieces of evidence against it.
It is selective.
Like a lawyer
defending a lost cause.

When you realize
that you are the witness of fears,
not their victim…
When you see they are only phenomena
passing through consciousness…
The struggle ends.
Not because fear disappears,
but because you stop fighting it.

In the full acceptance of what is,
including fear when it appears,
there is peace.
Not the peace of fear’s absence,
but the peace that is not disturbed
by its presence.

There is no one who needs to be brave.
There is only life expressing itself
through this apparent form you call “me.”
When the illusion of the controller dissolves,
action happens spontaneously.

Fear appears to reveal
the identity you believe yourself to be.
It is a disguised teacher.
And in the end,
fear
and the one who fears
are only concepts.

What remains is pure awareness
watching everything arise and fade.
And what you truly are
has never been touched by fear.
And never will be.

What an unforgettable experience. Even days later, I’m still carrying its afterglow with me. My deepest gratitude to everyone involved.
