One more set from @sfartbookfair so much to see so much affordable. Including a selection of $100 cyanoprints which you can buy by the each or mix and match to create your own compositions. What a great fair! ❤️❤️❤️ art fashion books zines ephemera prints editions recordings and much much more. And lastly, a cordial inquiry from a curious observer: if you are any kind of an enterprise, either group or individual, where getting public exposure (including having a booth at this fair) is part of your purpose, why would you not allow people who really like what you're doing to tag you on SM?

Part office, part living room, part library - Office Hours is a temporary space where professional output and personal practice merge. The exhibition features a range of projects and catalogues that invite guests to view, reflect, and make copies - framing these works as both art and reference. The studio becomes a gallery and workspace, infiltrating the 9-to-5 and blurring the lines between cultural input and output.

Quality Time’s Office Hours is a publication exhibition featuring select Bay Area galleries and presses. In bringing our shared local archive into CCA’s MFA studio, we highlight the foundational role of local communities in institutional space.

Incoming talk! Today from 4–5PM in the @sfartbookfair Lounge: catch Adrian Martinez, Josh Schaedel, and Wyatt Naoki Conlon in conversation for a special program about collaboration.

They’ll be joined by SFMOMA Curatorial Assistant, Alex Landry, who will be moderating this chat about photo practice, publishing, independent art spaces, and well, life. No slides, just vibes — and stories that can hopefully encourage the next wave of ambitious artists to take on similar endeavors.

Hope you can make it!

Cover art for “Fruited Plains,” a photo book by J. Connor Sacks ( @condor_snacks ) in partnership with Illetante Books (@illetante ).

It’s a real honor to have been involved with this project. When I look at these photos, I see the nuance of Connor and his lovely wife Chelsea sampling America, which they did by spending a few years living in New York, New York; Hilo, Hawaii; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Missoula, Montana - though the work is not limited to these places. Perhaps it’s best described in his words:

“Made between 2021 and 2023, this body of work showcases the peculiarity of American life as seen through quotidian moments and landscapes. Fruited Plains depicts a 1,000-yard view of the country as a whole and the myriad of experiences that make up its fabric. With a deep appreciation for the ordinary and moments of solitude, these photographs reveal subtle and poetic moments that are often overlooked.”

If you’re headed to the @sfartbookfair this weekend, find this and other great projects at the Illitante table. Stroll on afterwards to @bookandjobgallery where “Fruited Plains” is on view until the closing happy hour this Friday (07/11).
