Excited for this weekend! 💚💙 I’m incredibly grateful to be presenting at the 2026 NAMI Illinois State Conference alongside some truly remarkable advocates, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and changemakers! This year’s theme, “Bridging Gaps by Reimagining Community Care,” could not be more timely. I’ll be presenting “Build the NET Before the Fall: Regulation Tools for Youth, Families, and Community Care.” But what excites me just as much as presenting is the opportunity to connect with, learn from, and celebrate the incredible people and organizations doing this work every single day. I’m especially excited to see Laura Faver Dias, Lindsey LaPointe, Karina Villa, Dr. Inger Burnett-Zeigler, Dr. John Torous, and SO many others! And an enormous shoutout to NAMI Illinois and the local NAMI affiliates across our state. The advocacy, education, support, and community building these organizations provide is absolutely invaluable. Mental health is not just an individual responsibility. It’s a collective one. We need more collaboration. More connection. More community. And fewer silos. I cannot wait to be surrounded by people who care deeply about creating a world where more people feel safe, supported, seen, and valued. Who’s going to be there?! 💚 #NAMIIllinois #MentalHealthAdvocacy #CommunityCare #MentalHealthMatters #TrustAndGrow

"It's not just a conference. It's a chance to meet people who share your drive, learn from top leaders in the field, and bring back ideas that can truly make an impact." That's how past Illinois 4-H Sustaining the Future Award recipient Mason Hilmes describes his Premier 20 Conference experience. If you're passionate about agriculture, leadership, and serving your community, the Illinois 4-H Sustaining the Future Award could be your next opportunity to grow. Recipients attend Premier 20, connect with fellow young leaders, and gain valuable skills and experiences they can bring back home. Applications are due November 1st. Apply today at the link in bio or at bit.ly/4-HAward.

Help us welcome Bobby to the team! 🍀 Bobby joins us as the new 4-H Extension Program Coordinator. His passion for 4-H comes from his own transformative experience in the program. Through 4-H, Bobby explored his academic interests, discovered his love of history, strengthened his public speaking skills, and grew in confidence. Now, he’s excited to give back to the program that made such a meaningful impact on his life. We’re excited to have him on the team and look forward to the positive impact he’ll make as he helps local youth explore their interests, discover their passions, and reach their full potential. #Illinois4H #UniversityOfIllinoisExtension #4HYouthDevelopment #MeetTheTeam Congratulatory post featuring a headshot of Bobby Lee, 4-H Extension Program Coordinator, with the message, “On behalf of all of us at Illinois Extension, congratulations!” and the Illinois Extension logo.

National 4-H Week may be over, but we're still reflecting on a great week of celebration! 🍀 Last Wednesday, our staff were invited to stop by our National 4-H Week booth for 4-H trivia, stickers, giveaways, and conversations. We loved hearing stories from 4-H alumni, sharing information about Illinois Farm Bureau's youth programs, and helping staff learn more about ways they can support and engage with students. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating 4-H and the leaders it helps shape, and a special thank you to the @il4halumni for providing items that helped make our celebration possible.

Beyond Ready Day - 4-H helped shape who I am today. From public speaking to project work, it taught me leadership, responsibility, and the value of community. The lessons I learned through 4-H still guide me everyday. #4h #illinois4h #il4halumni #beyondready
