A heartfelt mahalo to everyone who spent their Saturday with us for the Civics on Trial workshop with @judiciaryhistorycenter this past weekend. 🩵

The conversations, mele, and perspectives shared throughout the day left us feeling even more inspired and excited for what we can create together next.

57+ attendees joined us for the workshop, all helping us to make our @daspot_healthfoods lunch and @traditioncoffeeroasters coffee breaks free of any single-use plastic!

Still taking in this very special moment❤️‍🔥🩵

I opened my first museum solo exhibition at Shangri La, followed by a conversation with curator Navid Najafi about the work, the journey behind it, and the ideas that shaped the exhibition on August 29th.

After such an inspiring residency—weeks of making, learning, experimenting, and being surrounded by Shangri La’s extraordinary collection, architecture, landscape, mountains, and ocean—it was incredibly meaningful to see the work come together here and to finally share it with an audience.

I’m leaving this experience with a very full heart and so much gratitude for everyone at Shangri La who made this residency and exhibition possible, and for everyone who came to celebrate the opening with us. 💙🩵💚❤️💛

“Birds in Search of Blue Expanses” is now on view at Shangri La Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii, through February 28, 2027. ✨
