September so far 🧚🏽‍♂️

I believe one of the best things I’ve done for myself lately is to stop spending so much time on social media.

I’ve been allowing myself to be more present and enjoy the feeling of noticing the beauty around me again.

The more I slow down in my own life, the more I notice how much of what I love about my work is slowing down with someone else.

These little moments have always meant more to me than I think I realized.

I’ve been realizing how much I enjoy having space in my days to just follow what feels good.

Laying in the grass with a book, noticing two little deer passing by, letting myself stay a little longer.

I don’t think every part of life needs to be filled with something. Sometimes I just want to see what the day brings.

My first new guest when I started my journey on my own.

Two years later, I still feel so grateful that she found her way into my chair when she did.

Beyond grateful for the people who have trusted me along the way.

Found @funkyfreshsahar recently and really loved this video.

“the flower doesn’t decide the honey”

The way she thinks and talks about life really resonates with me.

Embracing my natural texture a little more lately.
Loving this blue button down.
Looked up and realized the sky was wearing it too.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to bring in little practices like this.

Shake off the stress, hug yourself, say your name five times, then jump it out!

A little reminder to come back to yourself before we begin. ✨

The food was incredible @ilpizzaiolo

But I might’ve been just as excited about all the little details.

The intimate classes always have my heart. 🤍

@burgatorybar and a walk by the water.

pretty solid way to end the day.

Pittsburgh, this is your sign to put @rockreggaerelief on next year’s calendar.🌴🎶

Last year was my first year at Stage AE and I genuinely loved it, but I cannot deny it…this year gave me the FESTIVAL FEELS I was looking for. I loved what the Piatts decided to do with this event as always, but this year they absolutely nailed it.

I loved Chillville being on a shut down road with a stage at the end where you could actually sit, hang out, listen to music, grab something from a small business or food truck, and have all the cocktails and mocktails you could possibly want. It just had that perfect festival energy without feeling overwhelming.

I also have to mention how much I loved that the festival helped the businesses surrounding it, too. Having quick and easy access and re-access to the festival meant you could merch shop, pop into your favorite spot or finally try somewhere new in Market Square without missing out on the fun.

As for me…you caught me at Il Pizzaiolo twice. 😂 Once for outdoor martinis, pasta and pizza while still enjoying the music happening inside, and once to see my girls with the humans I went to the show with.

It’s giving you’re going to Italy in less than two weeks but I don’t hate it.🇮🇹🍝🍸

Rock, Reggae & Relief brings together live music, food, drinks, local businesses and an entire downtown full of good energy, all while giving back to the community. And honestly, that combination is pretty hard to beat.

I feel so unbelievably lucky to have had the opportunity to show this festival off again and share a little piece of it with you guys. My fingers will absolutely be crossed that I keep making that list because I already know I’ll be excited to come back next year.

Well done, everyone.❤️

See yinz next year.✌🏼🌴
