AIA26 San Diego was a great reminder of why I love being part of the architecture and design community.

I spent several days attending sessions, exploring the expo floor, listening to keynote speakers, and connecting with colleagues from San Diego while meeting new friends from across the country.

The conversations around AI, education, design, and the future of practice gave me a lot to think about.

One of the highlights was seeing several of my architectural photography work featured in the AIA San Diego installation celebrating architecture throughout the region. It was exciting to see work I have created over the years displayed alongside projects from so many talented architects, designers, and firms.

A few days filled with learning, inspiration, and meaningful connections.

Thank you @aiasandiego and @aianational for bringing the architecture and design community together in San Diego.

Take a 58 second field trip into this world-class operation. Image Options has stood tall on POH projects time and again. Like all our efforts, this latest POH initiative is made possible through the involvement of key U.S. located manufacturers and industry leaders in multiple states, many with large workforces of military vets, which are providing their goods, services, and expertise on behalf of the project.

In the meantime, let us know and contact deserving school, hospital, social service, or civic programs in all 50 states so they can have the opportunity to participate. Follow along and join us as we travel the U.S. to urban, suburban, and rural communities. We are excited to see you soon in your state.

What a night! ✨

TasteMAKERS was a great evening of people, creativity, and community. We got an inside look at SPMD, heard insights from Sean Madden on creative process and what makes projects impactful, and took part in a hands-on workshop inspired by memorable meals and shared experiences.

A huge thank you to @spmdesign and @image_options for hosting, and to everyone who came out and made the night so special. We’re looking forward to the new year and more SEGD Orange County events ahead.

Do you know that moment when you are with a group of friends having dinner together and the food comes and everyone stops talking because the food is that good? That’s how I felt about attending the Wide-Format Summit. All I got was this one picture. I was so consumed with great conversation that I didn’t do much else. It was a breath of fresh air to be with such a welcoming group that gets it. Thank you for allowing me to share what is motivating me and I look forward to continuing the conversation. I can’t wait to see what we will create together!

Today my team and I had completed a Trade show booth design. Here is a sneak peak!

Course: DESN 344A&B Display and Exhibition Design
Professor: Lisa Krohn
Team: Ronal Figueroa, Scott Milich and Ashley Nylander
Client: Nintendo

Nintendo’s trade show booth is an immersive, interactive experience, welcoming visitors from all directions into a dynamic gaming world. The booth offers multiple features: a responsive LED floor, an Amiibo Selfie Booth, Multiple game stations, a reception desk, and a conference area.

I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the Principal & Cofounder of Image Options, Brian Hite and his team Alvin Molina, Derek Blake, Abigail Klimisch and Emilia Thein to be able to give us an opportunity to create a design and taking their time to join us in our DESN 344A&B course to guide us to the final outcome!
