POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Some trips stay with you. This one is still dancing in our heads. 🇪🇸💃🏻🕺🏻

Our 5th Flamenco Immersion Trip to Sevilla brought us back to a city that has become such an important part of this journey, and gave us another week full of moments we’ll be talking about for a long time.

At Flamenquería, we worked with Inés Rubio and Fernando Jiménez on technique, choreography, and improv, accompanied by incredible musicians who brought the music in the room to life.

An afternoon of palmas with Pepe Torres gave us compás, stories, history, and plenty of laughter, along with a beautiful reminder that flamenco will always have something new to teach us.

We made squid ink paella inside the Mercado de Triana with Taller Andaluz de Cocina, got very hands-on with the prawns 😂, shared tablao nights at Sala Almoraima and La Casa del Flamenco, and had the rare opportunity to watch the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía in a private rehearsal.

Then came our final night at Peña Flamenca Torres Macarena, where our teachers performed and Xianix surprised us with a performance she had never done before. ❤️

Five editions in, we know this experience is about so much more than taking a dance class in Spain. It’s the artists who welcome us into their world, the stories and meals along the way, and those unexpected moments that become part of your relationship with flamenco long after you leave Sevilla.

Gracias a todos. ❤️

Madrid didn’t disappoint last week with this great group of event pros coming out to connect, learn and share over pie (ish) 😂

Tortilla de patata is circular so counts right?

Of@course no PIE Network event would be complete without conversation starters and we’re loving these by @eyeconnectgame

2025 XBF Flamenco Immersion Trip to Sevilla ✨

Our 4th edition brought together flamenco students from across the U.S. with some of Sevilla’s most talented dancers, musicians, and friends for a week of learning, laughter, arte, and unforgettable moments.

We trained with the amazing Maise Márquez and Marina Valiente in technique, choreography, and Bulerías, supported by the incredible talents of Jose Mendez, Mercedes Cortés, Juan el Juana, Antonio Santiago, Jordi Flores, Emiliano Liti, and Ángel Vera. This group of artists helped us dance harder, dig deeper, and embrace the joy and spontaneity of flamenco.

From welcome cocktails at Pura Vida Terraza (shoutout to the one and only Pedro!), to late-night dinners and dancing under the stars in Triana, every moment had its own kind of magic.

History, tablaos, juergas, shopping runs, and those impromptu late-night moments… this was flamenco and community at its best.

🎥 Hit play to relive it.

Already dreaming of next year?
We’ll be back July 4–10, 2026.

Dance has been a love of mine—for as long as I can remember. Watching, participating—always a language that I’ve enjoyed. Flamenco is still new-ish…and there’s so much more to learn. It’s so challenging, so gorgeous, so rich, so passionate—so consuming and so delicious.
The journey continues—
Thank you for this tremendous week in Sevilla—I’m forever grateful to you for all of your artistry and arrangements for this unforgettable experience- @xianixbarreraflamenco and @candiwanders —and of course Terrence -@imagemakerstudios for all the fabulous photos!
¡Sigamos con nuestros sueños—ahora y para siempre!
