THE HERDSMAN (Boötes). Suspended within Denver International Airport’s Concourse C, its geometry is derived from the constellation as it appears overhead on the Summer Solstice. Star light, star bright. 🌟 The first of two constellations is now glowing on Concourse C!

💫 "The CONSTELLATIONS" by @danielleroneystudio are suspended sculptures equipped with embedded glass and LED-lit stars.

💫 This sculpture mimics The Herdsman (Boötes) constellation, which is visible in Denver's night sky during the summer solstice. It's located near Gate C54.

💫 Keep an eye out for the second constellation, which is being installed now near Gate C61.

Congratulations to artist Jill Anholt and the City of Wichita’s Northwest Water Treatment Center on the newly installed sculpture, Source, an iconic landmark visible from multiple directions that honors the importance of clean, pure water in all of our lives. #ArtistFeatureFriday

“Source is inspired by the balance and harmony of the two source systems that supply water to the Northwest Water Treatment Center - one from above (surface) and one from below (ground). The two sources of water collect together in a spiraling vessel-like shape that also recalls an eddy or circular current occurring along the journey of water as it flows within a river or in the ocean.” - @jillanholtstudio

It did. Even have room for my suitcase.

Okay! I did cheat a bit.

Once again, using things in ways not intended by the manufacturer.
