2:28:28 MAJOR PR 🚹🐆
(Sub 2:30 under 30 with a child)
It starts with believing in yourself. On the bus to my first Boston Marathon, the guy next to me said he ran a 2:38 to qualify. I told him, “Wow, I’ll never be able to do that.” And now, here we are.

Stay disciplined and your days look the same but your years change. Every year has gotten better across work, coaching, training, family, and faith.

What I learned this block:

1. Community. My Tuesday morning track workout brought people from all over Buffalo together. It built camaraderie, accountability, and purpose. These workouts sharpened my top-end 5K speed, which drives running economy, stride length, and VO2 performance.

2. Discipline. When the 4:30 alarm went off, I was out the door before the baby and my wife woke up, regardless of rain, shine, heat etc. Head down and grind.

3. Fueling. Every run was fueled and recovered with @victus.sport , the best gel I’ve used.

4. Patience. I cut runs short when my body asked me to. One session won’t make a marathon, but one can derail it. This was my first block with no major injury, and stacked a base phase, 8 weeks of marathon-specific work, and consistent strength.

5. Gratitude. I found real joy in the painful miles between 23 and 26, knowing how blessed I am to choose this suffering, while children in Palestine have suffered their entire lives with no choice, living in tents in the freezing cold and listening to bombs drop for years.

As always, Free Palestine.

Sweet moments from this weekend celebrating 2 years of our salon series Between Us with @imalexla at @betweenspace.co đŸŒč

Captured so tenderly on film by @missvicksvaporub 💌

What makes this series so special to me is the way our guests shape the space with their openness and curiosity. I’ve felt deeply understood here, even on the days I didn’t feel like talking, just craving connection and presence.

I’m so grateful to everyone who comes through - whether it’s to strengthen a friendship, meet someone new, or reflect inward.

It’s also how Alex and Victoria became part of my inner world, which makes it all the more meaningful.

Excited to see what we get up to next.

It’s been 1 year of our (not-so-secret) salon series “Between Us” đŸ©·

Sharing some beautiful moments and details from our first birthday celebration on Friday.

When I told Alex a little over a year ago that I’d always wanted to use my studio for more, to fill it with new people who shared the same desire to dive deeper into themselves, share secrets etc that we needed an identity to expand with
he said “hold on one sec, I’ll make a deck.”

‘between’ continues to be an ever-evolving project, meant to be a home for all of my creative projects (past, present and future). We are experimenting and playing, sharing and learning and I am proud of what is being built slowly, imperfectly and intentionally. I’m excited to see how we materialize next.

Thank you to my friends new and old, to those who’ve inspired us, supported us and who believe in our vision to create more intentional places to gather, but specifically:

@imalexla for branding and strategy magic among other things
@missvicksvaporub for being our first regular and now bff photographer
@rose_klobucar for teaching me everything I know about hosting
@marcchami98 forever on the set up crew and music
@micecrispies for being the best studio manager

And our first year co-hosts & collaborators/conspirators:
@rue.greywal @monica.thi @kahiyewarsame @nadaelomari_ @furqanamohamed @aliceyamagishi @holly.m.chang @okidi.z

All my love,
Andreja

Time Capsule
noun
“a container storing a selection of objects chosen as being typical of the present time, buried for discovery in the future.”‹
What do our possessions say about us?
What do we choose to document and how?
How can we honour the physical and tangible over digital? How can we safeguard our sacred history, memory and our truth?

In an era when preserving memories is political, personal archiving is not just a reflection or a documentation practice, but it is also an act of honour: bestowing wisdom and resilience to generations to follow.

Our spring programme invites you to visit your attic in search of neglected memories and archived thoughts in hopes of unraveling material to build a resilient archive, forward.

This spring, when we do things for ourselves, such as document our days, fill our journals with keepsakes, consider the objects that connect us to those who come before us, and those who come after.

Keep this between us ;)
