Surreal to say: Midnight is officially out. Go stream the ever living heck outta this thing and come immediately report back with your findings.

This album came together in a way unlike others. It was community based, and it was a collection of effort, energy, and love from a handful of spectacular collaborators.

@jack.pavlina reinspired me before helping to write and produce this project. His energy, songwriting skills, and outlook on music reignited something within me that’s been lost for a while. Jack and I wrote and produced most of these songs together, couldn’t have done it without him.

@bobbykrak + @sam.callahan_ took these loose demos from their infancy, into pristine, human expressions. Bobby did things I’ve never seen someone do with the drums, contorting them to his will, and getting expressive to perfectly match each song. Sam took her years of experience to add a pocket heavy, colorful low end bed to each song. 5 string bass, vintage basses, she delivered the most dynamic and creative bass performances Surfer Girl has ever had.

@jon.joseph allowed all of this mayhem to take place in his studio. Driving to San Pedro 5 days a week. This man is a visionary, unbelievably talented and the perfect amount of a pain in the ass. You can be that way when you’re that good and know exactly how to achieve what you’ve set out to. I’ve never worked with someone with such laser focus and impeccable systems to get it done. Thank you for trusting us Jon. Thank you.

And finally to every other collaborator on this record, who I’ll expound more on later: THANK YOU! Midnight is so grateful for your architecture.
