I am both honored and excited to be an instructor at the Pacific Songwriting Camp this year. The camp is coming up: Jan 15-19; but it’s not too late to sign up! (Link in bio) There will be something for everyone; whether you’re a seasoned pro or just diving into the world of writing songs. AND it will be taking place in beautiful Cambria. More info below.

Over 20 years running, PSC is a songwriter’s dream for all levels, whether you’re exploring songwriting for the first time or already a seasoned singer/songwriter ready to immerse yourself in all aspects of the songwriting craft. Set against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, camp provides a wealth of both natural and professional inspiration for students and instructors to make music and learn together in community. Take workshops and classes that interest you, or chase a new idea and go write under a tree. Focus on instrumental, lyrical, vocal, and performance skills, then perform at “Coffeehouse” in front of a safe and supportive audience (with or without fellow campers in your insta-band) and join in on the late night song circles and jams. In your free time, you can also enjoy painting, yoga, walks, and other activities to keep the creative juices flowing.

Camp runs Thursday afternoon to Monday at noon. Price includes all classes and activities, and three hot meals a day (with vegetarian and vegan options). Pacific Songwriting Camp is modeled after “SummerSongs,” an intimate twice-a-year adult songwriting camp that ran for two decades on both coasts. Inspired by beloved founder and friend, singer-songwriter Penny Nichols, PSC follows in her footsteps, creating community through music and song.

The winter weather in Cambria is (usually) perfect, the views are spectacular, and the fun, friendship, and creativity are long-lasting. Most participants are housed in bunk cabins, with options to RV and Car/Tent Camp. For folks who prefer off-site lodging, there is a $135 registration discount. Plenty of hotel and AirBnB options can be found in beautiful downtown Cambria just minutes away.
