Still pumped from the energy at the Benin Skill Fest! ⚡️ I had the privilege of volunteering with the IT and Media team for this year’s edition, and honestly, it was an experience I’m so grateful for. Big shoutout to @thnafrica for putting this together. Initiatives like this are exactly what our youth community needs right now. Actually, free, accessible empowerment really does moves the needle. 😄 A major highlight was the panel session featuring @asemotaizoduwa FCIPA and Webbit Technologies founder @adebayoajayiceo MCPN, MBCS. They didn’t just speak; they transformed the way I think about Digital skills. I learnt a lot from their sessions and I’d be including it at the end of this post. 🤭⬇️ A big thank you to @adams_alexx FIMC, CMC, CMS for curating such a powerful event. It was clearly a group effort, and I am so grateful to everyone who worked so closely together to bring it all to life. Being behind the scenes as an IT and Media volunteer was a whole different perspective. Beyond just the tech side of things, it was about capturing the moments of growth and ensuring everything ran smoothly for the attendees. A few things I’m taking away from this experience: • Adaptability is key: It was honestly quite a demanding task juggling between being an attendee and a volunteer but at some point, I adapted to troubleshooting. • The power of community: Watching so many young people show up to learn and upskill was honestly inspiring. • Collaboration: Working with the rest of the media team taught me how much we can achieve when we’re all aligned on the same goal. Thank you, The Hive Network Africa, for creating a space for us to learn, connect, and grow. I’m walking away with new skills, new friends, and a lot of motivation.
