🚨 Y’all… we’re about to talk about the part of IBD nobody talks about.⁣
⁣
I’m honored to be speaking alongside my friend @ucancallmeveeig, and for the FIRST TIME EVER, we’re bringing our husbands into the conversation. ⁣
⁣
If you’ve ever wondered what chronic illness looks like behind closed doors… this is the conversation.⁣

We're taking this conversation to the @colorofgi Equity in GI Conference in Washington, DC.
⁣
We’re talking about …⁣
⁣
The hard conversations.⁣
The “How are WE going to get through this?” moments.⁣
⁣
💜 Four voices.⁣
💍 Two couples.⁣
🎤 One unfiltered conversation.⁣
⁣
📍 Equity in GI⁣
🗓 July 16–18⁣

I told him I have Ulcerative Colitis… and we are still together. 🤎

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, and I can’t think of a better time to share this! 🥰

I was recently featured in a @webmd article titled:
“I Told Them I Have UC and We Are Still Together: Real Stories of Love and Support.”

“Learning Together as a Couple.”
And that’s exactly what this journey has been, learning.

Learning how to communicate through flares. Learning how to navigate surgeries, an ostomy, and now life with a J-pouch.

Learning that love isn’t just romance, it’s patience, compassion, and choosing each other daily.

Living with UC is not always easy.

There have been hospital stays. Pain. Fatigue. Tears.
But there has also been faith. 🙌🏾Commitment. And growth.

Frank didn’t just marry me in health, he meant those vows.☺️

Through sickness. Through uncertainty. Through change. And what I’ve learned is this:

❤️The right person doesn’t see your diagnosis as a burden.
❤️They see YOU.

❤️To anyone navigating IBD and wondering if love is still possible, it is!
❤️The right love will meet you where you are.

✨New post is live.
