@phillycreate’s #DenimDay in March

After a cold start in January, we got the perfect Spring day in late March, when over 100 people — models, photographers, creators, and more — showed up to make photos, friends, and memories at the Drexel campus.

I used to spend much time here 16 years ago ‼️ during my Masters, but haven’t come back often. It was cool to appreciate the space, old and new, with old and new eyes.

There was such great energy and enthusiasm that day, it drove home how much I love photography. While often a solo affair as I travel and see things alone, adrift in a sea of strangers, this was a highly collaborative and fun environment, where strangers left as friends, and rotating and working with different folks was encouraged. Great to get over shyness!

Shots of individual models will follow, but here I center the photographers, both whom I saw and who saw me. It’s a viscerally strong feeling to be walking down a street with 70+ photographers. Oh what fun!

Heyy, hi, hello it’s Kaitlee from Simplee Kaitlee! A more formal introduction is much needed…Welcome to my page! 💛🤟🏽

From photography to singing and crocheting, doing my hair, and everything in between, I’ve always found joy in creating.

I have a deep appreciation for the beauty of life, the art of making beautiful things, and the power of creativity to inspire others to see the beauty in themselves and the world around them.

While creating is my favorite thing to do, I’ve learned that the foundation for giving myself the space and energy to create starts with taking care of me… my mind and my body. So tbh, that’s been my main priority and what I’ve been focusing on the last few years. I’m learning to be more intentional right now. Slowing down but also pouring love into what matters to me. I thank the Lord for continuing to bless me with each day to keep living and creating!

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME…

Coffee is a non-negotiable for me.
I love being outside. Nature brings me DEEP joy.
I’m FILIPINO 🗣️🇵🇭 &How fitting, Happy Filipino American History Month!
New York Born & Jersey raised ✨
I’ll turn anything into a creative project, and somehow everything turns into a production. 😂 IYKYK.

I’m in the process of learning, renewing, and enjoying where I am. I’m learning to be perfectly imperfect. I’m learning what it means to be more myself, what it means to show up for myself and for the people around me.

I’m learning how to be Simplee Kaitlee.

I hope you stick around for the fun, beautiful, fruitful things I’ll be sharing. And I hope we can keep learning together. To my OG village, thanks for the love and support to get to this point. To my new friends I’ve made over the last year or so, thanks for encouraging me to create. And to my new new friends, y’all buckle up! 😂

Thanks for being here, it means the world 🥹🤎 Let me know what you’d want to see more of from me. 👀

“A beautiful rose that grew from the concrete”🌹

Is what I got to photograph some time ago through my mentor @allan.ali_’s photography workshop.

During his workshop we learned about all things pertaining to angle variations, types of photography, and some technicalities of working a camera.

The session was held at @nonamegalleryphilly over in Chestnut Hill, and we finished off the day with a photowalk where we got to photograph the beautiful @madeleinemodels 🤍 It was such a pleasure capturing you in your element, and I’m so grateful to have had this experience!

If you want to get in on sharpening up your photography skills or if you just need a refresh, definitely give Allan a follow🤝🏾

So happy to have met the beautiful people who were also apart of the photowalk too! 🥹🖤
