❤️STEP-PARENT/STEP-CHILD❤️ Today in a 35° weather in ATL my stepson, Paskall, came to pick us up to take us to different furniture stores. Then, we had brunch at Stage.

In the few hours we spent together, I grilled him on everything, from his career choice, to his personal life ( who is he dating, how often does he go out...). I was giving advice on each topic. As a step-parent I have learned that it is best not to give your opinion unless asked. This eliminates comments or thoughts like: “ you are not my mother/father or “ you are not the boss of me.” This list can be long.

However, from the very beginning, Paskall and I have shared a special bond and we always have a lot of fun together. Today was no different. He is a wonderful young man and I don’t think pouring love into him and showing a serious interest in his success can hurt him.

Can any child receive too much love in this world?
