More than one perspective. More than one path. More than one lens.

Itโ€™s a superpower. Biculturalism shows up subconsciously informing our work in ways trends never could.

In episode 3 of The Bicultural Edge, visual artist Lamiae El Hajjaji and cultural historian Jennifer Tosch talk about how their layered identities shape the stories they tell.

Omek summit 2026, what an incredible day!

It was beautiful to be in the room again with the phenomenal @my_omek community in Amsterdam.

I had the honor of moderating the opening panel with the incredibly wise and insightful duo @cohwilliams and @ycm.joseph. We talked about tapping into the power within, personal agency, and how to lead yourself in life and in your career from a place of self-awareness and wisdom in an increasingly complex world.

I also co-hosted a workshop with the incredible @ingridtappin (a real swoon moment) on Leading with Bicultural Intelligence. We connected to our origin stories, contextualised them as a tool for self-leadership, and explored how the shift inside shifts the outside, using @ingridtappin framework from her new book โ€˜Exceptionalsโ€™ to map our identity intelligence. (You need this book in your life.)

What a gift to be in the room with 400+ African and bicultural professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders, creators, and changemakers.

All gathered in a space that centers our experience and puts identity at the heart of self-expression, growth, and wellbeing.

@my_omek is truly indispensable.

A huge thank you to @imkemocamara @kswank @sofia_kaabu_kingdom_ @sandra_nwart and all the amazing volunteers who poured so much into this top-tier event, showing up with some much love, leadership and generosity.

Looking forward to the next time ๐Ÿ’›

Values are the new currency. โœจ

As bicultural Muslim women carving careers in spaces that werenโ€™t built for them, staying true to yourself and the values that raised you becomes the edge.

In the last episode of season 1 of the Bicultural Edge, the two guests, and friends, Rislene Moustapha and Fatima El Hatik reflect on what it takes to successfully break out of the race and gender boxes Western societies tend to put them in, all while embracing the contrast between the collective culture values and individualistic environment.

Believe me when I say this is just a small portion of a day filled with amazing workshops, inspiring talks, meaningful exchanges and so much more. I wish I could have captured it all but I hope you get the gist.

To everyone I got to meet at the summit it was a real pleasure. Please donโ€™t hesitate to reach out.

And to those I didnโ€™t get a chance to connect with, Iโ€™d love to still make that happen. Feel free to find me here , on LinkedIn, or on the Omek app.

For those interested in the @my_omek community go follow them on Instagram and join the app. Itโ€™s worth it.

Letโ€™s keep the conversation going. ๐Ÿค
