The time commitment of a production that I once feared feels so trivial. Now that it’s over Im reminiscing in every minute that I’ve spent with this cast and crew from the rehearsal room to the stage.

This show has been a constant reminder of the value and power in art as protest.

My role as Angel has been a constant reminder that there is a life where I can experience a healthy loving relationship and continue to embody an unimaginable freedom of self expression TILL I DIE.

Thank you so much to @dr_deron_wms and @dancetanj for trusting me with this role. You guys have challenged me so much, and I couldn’t have asked for a better director or choreographer throughout this process.

I love you all so much i’m so grateful to have been apart of such a wonderful production.

RENT!

To cast and crew, Thank you for being patient with me as I figure life out through this process. I lost some but I have gained so much from being surrounded by the lovely people working on this production.

To @dr_deron_wms and @dancetanj , thank you for trusting me with such a compelling and complex character and story to tell. Thank you for always being the support system I needed. You both have been and continue to be such an amazing influence on me and my life. I’m glad to say I have worked with you both and created an unforgettable bond. Thank you thank you!

To Joanne, I hope I told your story to the fullest. My goal with you was to make people understand you. I hope I reached every head-strong, independent, loving, and passionate woman, and made them feel seen and appreciated. Thank you for what you taught me. You taught me—how to cope in a positive way, how to love fully, stand tall and confident, how to command a room and most importantly, how to give myself grace. Thank you for everything.

I can’t say it enough, but this show is something special. I love rent and everything that came with it.

Sincerely,
Your Joanne Jefferson

It’s been a week since we closed @woodminstermusicals #HelloDolly and I’m still sad and missing galloping with some of the coolest people. [ID: a montage of Christine with her cast mates out of costume at the Hello Dolly cast party.]
