#Throwback to July 2020 with @immevu at the sunflower fields in Poolesville, MD at the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area. I remember doing some drone work here and it was also raining that day.

** #BESTOF2020 NUMBER 12 - Ao Dai Admirer **
.
In 2020, I wanted to do an Ao Dai shoot for either Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year or Dragon Festival and various Asian holidays. I worked with my usual models in Ao Dai but I wanted to work with someone else, hence working with Doan right here. We have met numerous times during StreetMeet & PortraitMeetDC, but haven't worked one-on-one. I've seen her work with countless others and they all love working with her. When the opportunity arose for me to ask, I was happy that she said "yes".
.
This is natural model at work. She had so many creative ideas for poses and looks. It was amazing to see how she works and how she comes up with them. She's always working on improving her work and she's always working to be better than where she was before. Not only she is talented, but also absolutely beautiful and extremely smart. Don't underestimate this one. She's making a big splash soon.

** #BESTOF2020 NUMBER 20 - Travel Composition **
.
One of the models that I worked with on a consistent basis in 2020 was @immevu. She's beautiful, talented, and determined. From the looks of it, she's on hitaus from the modeling world to focus on her studies. During our shoots, we would have loads of creativity flowing between us. I will say that she's a natural beauty that just fits as a model. This one was a creative shot to where she used the luggage from where she packed her clothes for this shoot cause we did multiple outfits and decided to do some framing. I've tried framing before in some of my shots but nothing like this.
.
I would have to say that toughest part of this shot is trying to figure out what should be in frame. I didn't want her to sit straight forward, because she's look like a pole. Therefore, I've realized that if I have the majority of her in the shot that it would look amazing. So, she still posed as if I was taking a regular photo, but this time I used the handle of the luggage to frame her so your eyes would go start there and go elsewhere. I feel like with framing is more of focusing on what you want your audience to see as opposed to blocking out any distractions. Even though you still see the bushes and water bottles, the central focus of this shot is the subject through the handle.
