on teton tourist time ⏰⏳

-TETON PICNIC: 70 miles, 18.5 hours, 8.8k
-durrance ridge + soloed upper exum (complete exum)
-party of 10 on OS in a lightning snow storm
-first mt. moran summit via CMC route
-made in back to SLC 12 hours after summiting Moran and 12 hours before school started

—> after accidentally dropping the boat i swam across jenny lake alone under the shooting stars with just the navigation and light from my watch screen. it was really rad and reminded me why I do these things and to enjoy the moment…and not think about the fish nibbling my feet when I stopped kicking. it was a bit of a last minute decision to do the Picnic and despite tired legs after doing the grand 2x a few days before I’m SO GLAD I did and with the company of @parkincostain , and our stoked support @gracebdelurey @c.higgs_ ‼️‼️
The Teton Picnic consists of biking from jackson to jenny lake, swim across jenny lake, climb the grand teton, swim back across jenny lake, bike back to jackson!

From Joshua Tree to Squamish and 3/4 of the corners, conjuring quests to countless cliffs, climbs, canyons, creeks, and Chasms of Doom with incomparable companions. What a treat 2026 has been so far!

I now dedicate my time in the Tetons to being with people who I care about and to relationships I want to grow. If you’ve joined me or plan to then I care about you. Ironically my list of people who I want to join me perpetually grows.

I especially love when Sage and Sienna ask me to join them. Last Monday Sienna and Ian wanted to climb the Durrance route, also known as the full Exum ridge. It’s six pitches of steep rock that ends at Wall Street. We roped up for the technical sections then solo’d the Upper Exum to the summit. It was an amazing day. Unfortunately after 9 surgeries my knee is still as painful as ever. #Siennas5th #moretocome #76

1. Traverse pitch on Lurking Fear 2. Fun little outing on the Bastille 3. 10d R in city of rock, a little chiller than the picture makes it look 4. Riding the 9’s in slc 5.
